After days of being on the move, exploring new places and feeding our curious souls with adventure. We both knew we had reached that point where rest wasn’t just a want, it was a need. Our bodies were tired, our minds full and our hearts happy, but also longing for quiet comfort. My husband, who always has a good eye for comfort, found the perfect spot. The Sharjah Grand Hotel. It offers so much right by the beach, perfect for swimming and unwinding. A place we wanted to stay to recharge after a full explorer mode.
The time we arrived at the hotel, we could already feel the difference. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. We looked at each other and smiled. Yes, this is it. This is exactly what we needed.
Our room had a beautiful sea view with a balcony, just like my husband always chooses. He loves having a sea view. So we can chill and stare at the sea and the sunset. Watching the colors of the sky as the sun slowly submerged into the sky. It added a relaxing aura, giving us a good spot to unwind and enjoy the peaceful view.
After lingering in a calm and cozy moment on our balcony and watching the sun set over the sea. My husband told me that we should go down to the beach area. We hurriedly got down and strolled along the shore. Feeling the soft air and the soft sand beneath our feet. We stood there barefoot, the water splashed in and covered our feet. I couldn’t stop grabbing the moment.
We continued our walk, taking in the soothing flow of the waves. The sky was slowly shifting colors as the sun began to drop. I saw a small boat floating quietly in the distance. It was such a picture perfect scene to snap a photo.
My husband dove into the water for a refreshing swim. I stayed behind and wind down comfortably under one of the thatch umbrellas. I closed my eyes and simply listened to the smash of the waves and the soft calls of birds flying above. He swam and enjoyed the water. I enjoyed my spot, allowing nature’s soft sounds to calm me.
While waiting for my husband to finish in the bathing area. I took a few photos around. The skyline was in shades of orange and pink. The background sun paints the end of a beautiful day. Everything felt still and serene.
It was time for dinner and we headed down to the hotel’s restaurant. The walk was surprisingly delightful, the hallway leading to the dining area was lined with beautiful photos of famous tourist spots from across the UAE. We had decided to include all our meals in the hotel package and it turned out to be a great choice. I don’t take pictures while dining at the hotel, especially when there are guests from different nationalities around. I respect their space and privacy. I savor the meal without a camera in hand.
After our dinner, we felt too full to head straight back to the room. We decided to take a walk around the pool area. The pool looked absolutely awesome at night. What really caught my eye was its grotto style design. The natural looking rockwork gave it a cave like, tropical feel. Enjoying the quiet atmosphere and soft sounds of the evening. I took out my phone and snapped a few shots of the beauty around the area.
We made our way back to our room. We saw a cozy cafe area near the lobby. The mellow music caught our attention. Without saying a word, we both decided to sit down for a while. The place was so cool. We enjoyed just relaxing there together. What made it more special was the piano in the corner. It added a touch of charm to the space. The perfect way to end our day.
Spending two wonderful nights at the hotel. It was finally time to check out. Before leaving, we went back to the beach to capture one last memory of our stay. That last glance at the calm sea, with the soft sunlight, was the perfect way to end our stay and carry a piece of this peaceful escape with us.
