Hello, friends, nature lovers, and community, Greetings! Hope all of you are doing well and having a good time with your dears and nears. Today, I am exploring one attraction between Larvik and Sandefjord that combines history and nature. We were visiting a friend in Sandefjord. When we were driving to Sandefjord, it was cloudy and looked like it would rain anytime. But after spending some time with our friend. Driving back home, the weather started to changing. The clouds started to disappearing, and the sun started shining through the clouds, thinking about what we shall do next. We were near the place called Gravfelt, an ancient cremation site, more than 1,500 years old, before the Vikings. I heard about that place from my husband and was curious to see what it is. So I asked my husband if we should go and see that place, and he likes that kind of nature places and history, so he immediately agreed with my suggestion. When we were there, some people were resting under those big stones, which were arranged in various formations; it looks like those stones are marked as burial sites, and it is about that place. But it is not my first preference to show much interest in that. But with the surrounding nature, the place looks very nice, so I took some photos of that place and moved to the forest, where I can find some mushrooms. Many people walk there with dogs and families; it seems like a popular place for a walk.

$1 On the sign written about the history of this place. After archaeological findings, they mentioned the site is before the Viking age and is considered a Bronze Age site around BC1800-500. The big boat symbol is a journey to the underworld. the more details are written on the signboard.

$1 The standing stones are placed in the shape of a boat, and some other different symbols, which look like some graves are there. I am a little skeptical about going closer to these kinds of places, so I observe them from a long distance.

After a few photos, I found the way to follow the forest, which we had never been here before. We chose the first path that was in front of us.

$1 The atmosphere was pleasantly damp from the rain and full of a unique forest scent that could be due to old, wet trees, fallen leaves, mushrooms, and moss. It wasn’t unpleasant; in fact, it felt like we were in real nature. The air was nice, cool, and fresh, with a woody aroma. Sunrays shine through the branches all around us, creating a typical early autumn atmosphere.

The forest was amazing. I have been walking in many forests. I saw nice stones full of moss, but I never saw anything like this with nice green moss all around the small branches and the tree trunks. $1

$1 The forest is very old; it looks like nobody chopped trees here; they have fallen naturally.

$1 And finally, I found them very nicely standing on moss.
