Ending 2024 on a High Note... On Table Mountain (Part 3)

In my last post, I shared photos where we arrived at the top of Table Mountain in PART 2 of Ending 2024 on a High Note... On Table Mountain.

Today I will share some images as we started our journey, walking the trail on top of Table Mountain.

Walking in the Clouds.

As we started walking, it looked like we were going to walk right into the cloud.

DSC_1498.jpg We then had to pass a high rock by walking on this wooden walkway, mounted to the side of the mountain. There were other people walking toward us, coming toward us as if from nowhere out of the cloud...lol.

Moving to the back of the mountain (southern side) from the Upper Station (on the northern side)

In he next image, if you look closely, you'll see there is a viewpoint right on the edge, with some people moving around on the rocks. This scene was just a reminder to me of how small we are as human beings in comparison with God's creation.

Along our walk, I found this beautiful scene against the background of the white cloud surrounding us...

With the Clouds Lifting, We Enjoyed Clearer Views.

Once we moved around on the top of the mountain and found our way back to the northern side, the clouds lifted somewhat and we enjoyed clearer views of what was below us.

Table Mountain is flanked by Devil's Peak on the eastern side and Lions Head on the western side.

In the next image, we are looking down at Devil's Peak from under the clouds on top of Table Mountain. At the foot of the mountain you can see some of the suburbs of Cape Town and catch a very hazy (misty) glimpse of Cape Town Harbour to the left of the photo.

Zooming out a bit to get the whole picture...

I found a nice spot from where I could capture the shadows of the clouds on the scenery below us.

The next scene simply left me speechless and I hope my photo can do it justice... But the best is still to see it in person!

Ending this post with two images looking down from the top, while we were slowly moving closer back to the Upper Station again.

The next image was taken from the same spot, but I zoomed in here so that you can see the cars parked along the road at the bottom of all the people visiting the mountain.

And that's it for today, folks.

In my next post, I will share some images while approaching the Upper Station.

I will also share some images of an unexpected, but exciting (for me anyway) activity we witnessed as we arrived at the Upper Station.

Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!
