If you don't want to spend a lot of money and quickly learn to ski with patient instructors, the Divcibare mountain in Serbia will be a good choice. This mountain is located in western Serbia, 130 km from the Belgrade, so for me and my family, it is a usual weekend destination when we want to breathe fresh air and escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, even for a day.
A few weeks ago I had some job to finish on the way to Divcibare and my sister took the unique chance to spend a day on skis. No advance booking was required, just good will and a ski suit.
As on other more popular mountains, despite the high prices, there is a big crowd and everything is booked in advance, we were pleasantly surprised that this was not the case on Divcibare. My sister had a great desire to get on skis, and the training cost less than 10 euros.
It was a very good price and the experience was amazing.
There are many tourists on Divcibare mountain who use its advantages.
Fresh air, good hosts, low prices and very tasty local food.
For me, this is quite enough for a quality vacation.
There are many trails you can walk on this mountain.
But there is something I am not thrilled with, and that is urbanization. Recently, Divcibare is unfortunately becoming more and more urbanized and is starting to look like a city. I hope that they will manage to preserve nature because this place means a lot to people, for rest and relaxation and escape from the polluted air of the cities where they live.
There was not much snow in my country this winter. At the beginning of January, I was lucky enough to enjoy the snow on Tara mountain, and it's a real miracle that we also found snow on Divcibare, which is lower than Tara and where there was no snow for most of the winter.
Although it was only for a short time, the snow brings joy and refreshment. The mountains in Serbia are always a good choice for a winter vacation or a break from everyday life, as well as for skiing, some adrenaline, and a healthy life. Nature is still preserved and is a great treasure.
