Piedra del Indio, Caracas, Venezuela

Hello, Hive friends! Once again, I want to share one of my adventures with you, marking areas I am exploring in El Ávila, the mountain north of Caracas that has given me so much satisfaction. This adventure took place on Sunday, and I repeated the route that starts from the Central Barracks, the “Pajaritos” Forest Fire Station, and the route of the same name. I took my best friend Douglas, other guys and girls I've met on our mountain adventures, and my perfect black shirt for taking selfies without looking so fat 🤣. Once again, you won't see my wife in one of my posts about trips to the eastern part of the mountain; it's a more complicated route than the ones I usually do with her.
 
¡Hola amigos de Hive! Nuevamente quiero compartir una de mis aventuras con ustedes, marcando zonas que estoy explorando en El Ávila, la montaña al norte de Caracas que me ha dado tantas satisfacciones. Esta aventura fue en día Domingo y repetí la ruta que inicia desde el Cuartel Centra, Estación de Bomberos Forestales "Pajaritos" y la ruta del mismo nombre. Me llevé a mi mejor amigo Douglas, otros chicos y chicas que he conocido en nuestras aventuras en la montaña y mi camisa negra perfecta para tomarme selfies sin verme tan gordo 🤣 nuevamente no verán a mi esposa en uno de mis posts de viajes a la zona este de la montaña, es una ruta más complicada que las que generalmente hago con ella.
 
As I told you last time I visited the Pajaritos trail, the path is very narrow and damp. In fact, it was here that I found mushrooms for the first time, which I recently showed on Fungi Friday Community. This time we dared to go beyond the Sebucán Gorge, which was quite a challenge for me the first time because I fell three times, but this time I was prepared in every way not to fall 😂 Our destination was Piedra El Indio, a much longer trail. In fact, the entire trip took six hours, not because of the altitude, but because the route was very long. I think the secret to routes like these is to be in good company with very positive people, as well as having a snack to rest and regain your strength at some point.
 
Como les conté la última vez que visité el sendero de Pajaritos, la ruta es muy estrecha y húmeda, de hecho fue aquí que conseguí hongos por primera vez, los que mostré recientemente en Fungi Friday Community. Esta vez nos atrevimos a ir más allá de la Quebrada Sebucán, la cual fue todo un reto para mí la primera vez porque me caí tres veces, pero esta vez ya estaba preparado en todos los sentidos para no rodar 😂 nuestro destino era la Piedra El Indio, un camino mucho más largo, de hecho el viaje completo fue de seis horas, pero no por la altura, sino porque la ruta era muy larga. Creo que el secreto de rutas como estas es ir bien acompañado con personas muy positivas, además de un refrigerio. para descansar y retomar fuerzas en algún momento.

Getting there is no easy task, and since I don't know if I'll be back anytime soon, I took a bunch of amazing photos, which is pretty normal for me. Up here, you can see a view from the right and another from the left. In one, you can see the blue sky, and in the other, the city of Caracas in the distance. This is where we sat down to rest for a while and share some fruit. Obviously, there was more to climb, but this was our goal and the reason for our trip, so we left it there for this time. Of course, I took advantage of the opportunity to take many photos up there as well. The photographer is my friend Douglas Daniel, whom you can find here on Hive. I hope you like them as much as I do:
 
Llegar hasta ahí no es nada fácil, y como no sé si repetiré pronto entonces tomé una cantidad de fotos asombrosas, algo muy normal en mí, aquí arriba pueden ver una vista desde la derecha y otra desde la izquierda, en una se ve el azul del cielo y en la otra la ciudad de Caracas a lo lejos. Fue aquí donde nos sentamos a descansar un rato y a compartir algunas frutas. Evidentemente había más camino hacia arriba, pero esta era nuestra meta y el motivo de nuestro viaje, así que lo dejamos hasta aquí en esta oportunidad. Claro que aproveché de tomarme muchas fotos allá arriba también, el fotógrafo es mi amigo douglasdaniel, así lo pueden encontrar aquí en Hive, espero que les guste tanto como a mí:
 
Many of the photos are similar, so I will conclude by sharing more of the views that can be seen from this magical place. I love my photos at Piedra del Indio, but I felt a little scared there and preferred to have them taken while sitting down (although there is one where I dared to stand up), but the breeze blows very strongly and a man who was also there warned us that there have been some accidents in the past. Beyond that man and his good advice, I didn't see any other people until we started to descend, so it's a direct connection with nature. My recommendation for those who are in Caracas and want to go up is to leave very early, as the trip can be long, depending on the people in your group. Thank you to everyone who read this far. Muchas de las fotos se parecen, así que me despido de ustedes compartiendo más de las vistas que se pueden ver desde este lugar tan mágico. Amo mis fotos en la Piedra del Indio, pero sentí algo de cobardía ahí y preferí que me las tomaran sentado (aunque hay una donde me atreví a levantarme), pero la brisa sopla muy fuerte y un señor que también estaba en el lugar nos advertía que han ocurrido algunos accidentes en el pasado. Más allá de ese hombre y sus buenos consejos no vi más personas sino hasta que comenzamos a bajar, así que es una conexión directa con la naturaleza. Mi recomendación para quienes están en Caracas y quieran subir es que salgan muy temprano, el viaje puede ser largo, depende de las personas que vayan en su grupo.
