Yesterday, Saturday the weather was ok. For my husband it was ok but for me that I still have a cough it was not good. I had a great night's sleep and I woke up late around in the morning. When I woke up, greeted me and asked are you feeling well? And I said hmmm ok but still have a cough.
He really wants to have a short trip. A quick escape to refresh the usual busy weekday rush and breath some fresh air. Kids want to go on a trip because of their stress too, hahaha from school. And they don't have homeworks, so it's good to have a short trip.
And our adventure yesterday began without a plan. He decided to take the lead of our trip and drive wherever the road would take us.

We had our quick breakfast, prepared and started our journey. He drove first to the store and bought some bottled water and food that we could eat while on the road. A quick shop in the COOP store, pick what we want, pay then continue our journey on the road.

The beautiful morning greeted us with the fresh touch of autumn air and quiet serenity. As we followed the curving road, it led us though scenes of stunning beauty of nature. The autumn landscape was so captivating and we couldn't help but to admire scenery. The golden fallen leaves invite us to soak in its beauty.

Our destination ended up discovering the charming and quiet spot in the village of Chľaba near the majestic Dunube River. From afar, I saw it as an entrance to the cave but then my husband told me it's an old cellar by the locals.

We pulled over the car and checked out the place for a closer look. A rocky cliff and the old door built into the side. It's the same as the entrance of the cave. I couldn’t help but take photos. A winery that looks like a cave and feels like a part of forgotten history.

A few steps from the winery we found a peaceful resting area with small wooden benches, gazebo and arranged garden paths. The simplicity of the place was captivating and with a with a rugged cliff behind painted with golden colors of fall.

A soft, murmuring whisper from the leaves and the refreshing clean air, created a perfectly tranquil setting. The spot was an ideal retreat where we could truly de-stress. A moment to stop, pause, simply breathe and just savor in the moment.

We soon found ourselves standing before the grand Danube, a sight that impossible to ignore because of its tranquil beauty. The Danube’s gentle waters shimmered like glass, the hills, the trees and the sky creating a scene of pure harmony. On the opposite bank, the fortress across the Danube towered above the hill- and what a breathtaking sight.!. Along the riverbank, small boats rested gently swaying softly the rhythm current. The entire scene was pure calm, surrounded by nature’s splendor and everything felt peaceful and perfectly still. In that peaceful stillness and my heart full of thankfulness for the beautiful moment.

That simple moment reminded me that most beautiful moments are often unplanned detours and spontaneous adventure. The laughter, the golden autumn vibes, the stillness- create a truly unforgettable experience.
Unplanned escapades-no schedules, no expectations and letting our curiosity dictate the journey.
Our Saturday trip was the best therapy: just a road, a bit of nature, and the company of someone you love.
