Hello everyone, how are you? I recently visited Monas (National Monument). I've actually been here several times before, for grounding and morning runs. This is my first time posting. I visited Monas. Monas is a must-visit for both travelers and visitors to Jakarta.
Monas is one of Jakarta's iconic landmarks, so everyone should visit. The place is very spacious, and you can explore it, enjoy it in the afternoon or morning, and of course, you can climb to the top of Monas. There's a fee and there's a system to follow, but I didn't climb the Monas Tower.

I just explored the surrounding park. On the other hand, this place also has several canteens, offering delicious food, but the selection is quite limited, such as soto (Indonesian soup), satay (satay), nasi padang (rice porridge), and various other snacks. There are also several clothing and statue stalls for souvenirs.
When I visit, I'll just eat, buy snacks and coffee in the food area, and enjoy them in the Monas area. When I visited here, I saw a number of people having a picnic. They made their own food, laid out on mats, and joked with relatives.

Oh yes, there are small cars or trains here to pick up passengers who want to climb to the top of Monas. Monas is very spacious, and a day's walk is enough. There are also often a number of major events nearby, including free concerts organized by the regional and central governments.
Monas is the abbreviation for National Monument. The monument, which stands for Monumen Nasional (Monas), stands approximately 132 meters tall and stands in the middle of the field. Monas was erected to commemorate the resistance and struggle of the Indonesian people in gaining independence from Dutch rule.

However, construction of this monument began in 1961 under President Sukarno. The monument is also crowned with a flame covered in gold leaf, symbolizing the spirit of the Indonesian people's struggle for independence.
I also want to mention that Monas houses several important statues, including the statue of Pangeran Ponegoro, the statue of Ikada, the statue of M.H. Tamrin, the statue of R.A. Kartini, and the statue of Hairil Anwar. There's also a horse statue at Arjuna Wijaya, located in front of the Monas entrance.
These statues are an important part of Monas and hold significant history and significance. I only photographed a few of the statues. I happened to be here in the afternoon, so the other statues were dark. That's all I can tell you about this place. What do you think?
