ENGLISH VERSION (click here!) Hello, world travelers! Traveling is a wonderful experience, and being able to visit new places in my beautiful country of Venezuela is quite an adventure. I'll take you with me on my journey from Maracaibo, Zulia, to Boconó, Trujillo, here in Venezuela. ![InShot_20250917_190823417.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmX6yHLHmuz1NjN9oTpvBKkzmYciPdZwiyd11ufSPhc8jW/InShot_20250917_190823417.jpg) My most recent adventure began with my boyfriend at the head of the General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge, a colossal structure that connects our beautiful city of Maracaibo with the west of the country. We left at approximately 7:00 a.m. in cloudy weather. After passing the toll booth, we continued across the bridge, where we were surprised by rain about five minutes into our journey. The view was spectacular, and although I was a little scared, I was able to enjoy the moment. The trip takes no more than 15 minutes, and when we reach the other side, I always feel a sense of relief. ![20250913_065536.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmPV8A1uZqeXoTGi57SxEy8tFgodJsZuqbaMj5XHksFkHj/20250913_065536.jpg) ![20250913_065542.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmciTWGSU8RdLJLmfzZdp5F3LuZLunmxf232v9uGhj4Yqu/20250913_065542.jpg) ![Screenshot_20250918_050740_Gallery.jpg] (https://images.hive.blog/DQmTMeJVGGZjLPRQufEaMKKkf3BZtTsoRvmc7vRjKbS4HGR/Screenshot_20250918_050740_Gallery.jpg) We continued on our way along the Lara-Zulia highway with partly cloudy skies, but the sun peeking timidly through during the morning. The city was far behind us, and we began to smell the earth and freshly cut grass. Trees and farms lined the road, as did a few toll booths and National Guard checkpoints. ![20250913_075816.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmP97kGVqrRauYa83EoitmpqkkQXAA4vMkR7YjbP66Fo4r/20250913_075816.jpg) ![20250913_075830.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmXaxVxjstabg1NGzDbENCgiYSPv8WpfEBgnyjaxusb1pE/20250913_075830.jpg) ![20250913_080052.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmVGTvUyifSd6ENQXp7yNVXq2Lfn5wMkrDtcZfwX7XtdCg/20250913_080052.jpg) ![20250913_080105.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmdXv7PM9UYVJXNrkZXvHr3S9uXgZMD5nbZJUNgrCqj8d7/20250913_080105.jpg) ![20250913_080128.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmQqWxoLrF6dvDrJzSN8s6jFxs1qTzRAHqd1SBENEH4PVD/20250913_080128.jpg) We left the main road to take an alternate route through the municipality of Lagunillas, where we saw several machines extracting oil, or liquid gold as we also call it, and stopped for breakfast in Bachaquero. We ate beef empanadas that we bought in a store and some ham and cheese sandwiches that we had brought from home, accompanied by Frescolita and Gatorade. ![20250913_081753.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmX8Cd1AtWpxh2LkybehARS5NG1ji2KnzB55V6mv71LASn/20250913_081753.jpg) ![20250913_081811.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmdBboqefx8hnCYSwg5xoUqFEbJwu3rJZosUyBy27SNDyK/20250913_081811.jpg) ![20250913_085955.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmZSZtyqx2hevkma9uwaFW1XtxQA3VLMreBnPW8No6DYdN/20250913_085955.jpg) ![20250913_085355.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmVHvstMwmo467Aj16Ed7ioLzqgiZfbeNUx9W8FbnyY82t/20250913_085355.jpg) We rested for a while and continued riding for an hour and a half until we reached the state of Trujillo, where the mountains began to form part of the landscape. We made another stop, this time at a gas station to fill up the motorcycle, which by this point had used up half the tank. We drank some water and continued on our way. ![20250913_102407.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmeg62QSzH2gxutp1k3xCTHb2DqiRyKQVvutZ4EcN6PXvG/20250913_102407.jpg) ![20250913_104820.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmVUNaqm6Bh2SJ4G11F1CydxfbESNjhi2nQhZzJvBpSCBt/20250913_104820.jpg) When we reached the Peraza toll booth, we turned right towards Boconó. We were getting closer and closer to our destination and dream village. The landscape was becoming increasingly mountainous, with incredible, magical views full of greenery. The climbs were a little steep, we felt a cold breeze, and the heat of Maracaibo was now behind us. We were very eager to arrive. ![20250913_111738.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmQvvJnYTe4txpixdJYk4y5E1re8uytkKUrzjdYQMTtKr6/20250913_111738.jpg) ![20250913_114214.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmTRBkK21qx1gbnvCCAoUuP23iEbStxTqC5guuFUrVNi3M/20250913_114214.jpg) ![20250913_114219.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmesBm8UZNZfamqTJynubdYexXn6r1EYsG8AchRgFZ5Mtm/20250913_114219.jpg) ![20250913_120715.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmQ5z2SGAraTBhiozJVdd4gZBR4yxBLbNSaCKYsqeJnoof/20250913_120715.jpg) ![20250913_120722.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmSP9f79EaDiN9qamAbpU8poocwRsfhxeJHz3ixkqpNezc/20250913_120722.jpg) ![20250913_120731.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmavNtvVZixwhNpXzRnWP2qijyXd4vkPdguawwhEd5J5y4/20250913_120731.jpg) ![20250913_124000.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmcPd5PC9nQJzLxU35thgctauVV6GfdtAVpiyQyfKxzp4x/20250913_124000.jpg) ![20250913_131426.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmZRprgHj7VsQVyWqXtRvXhxNpuDD8bp2SJXRH8zwpTZtp/20250913_131426.jpg) ![20250913_131433.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmdRC6nwcvmx83uDir4BRxar13cRh9NcgFBZaM6uJh6kuE/20250913_131433.jpg) A cross at the entrance to Boconó let us know we were getting close, because we still had about 20 minutes to go before reaching the town itself. The large letters and a sign finally showed us that we had arrived at the Garden of Venezuela and that our adventure was just beginning after a 7-hour motorcycle ride. ![20250913_132817.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmRrQ9ExtSaEDZgHe4KLYEEUYZPjsF2Rb2jTAnaoRTHC1v/20250913_132817.jpg) ![20250913_132825.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmNcuFj42w57hiQDpCE1DuNakXcjNBoSEth5DcAr3omyqu/20250913_132825.jpg) ![492ad6bf-36a5-42dc-be3a-fac02770ec0e.gif] (https://images.hive.blog/DQmeRgb7DGuECwmPXV9gXx5LHXqUu2ME6i89JiQLbfLESN9/492ad6bf-36a5-42dc-be3a-fac02770ec0e.gif) ![20250913_134121.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmV6QgYAuunk34xUxyAaLXjJMhV2pJaD4HBasJnDPMwkgV/20250913_134121.jpg) ![20250913_134137.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmeWfAafu8N3H7GC1AqVQNppmcHsvamKKvyqWW2TWkFgS8/20250913_134137.jpg) ![20250913_134348.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmVjcZqE85s2QL6zysRQBNymWmRjZerT2TQ8DzjQgTiA2L/20250913_134348.jpg) ![20250913_134539.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmVEvGM4Q6yyBov1sm5iT74xfhvAEys8MBnVryrRT51SuH/20250913_134539.jpg) Soon I will show you more of this great trip, but for now I bid you farewell.
