Road trip to the medieval village of Castello di Cireglio, part one. (ENG/ESP) 💓💓

I'll take you on a short trip I took last week when the weather was good, to Castello di Cireglio, where there was an event I was interested in: a performance of Tuscan and Argentine folk songs. Castello di Cireglio is located in the Pistoia mountains, a village somewhat hidden below the main village of Cireglio, which is much more modern than Castello. To reach it, it's about thirty minutes on a beautiful panoramic road. Already as you climb, you begin to see beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and also some typical mountain houses, a bit old but very beautiful to look at. There are several hairpin bends, so it's not the best trip if you suffer from car sickness, but between the curves, we can admire beautiful mountain views and charming clusters of cottages. A truly relaxing and charming journey that slowly leads to the small village, which we found thanks to a small sign.

Les llevaré a una excursión corta que hice la semana pasada, cuando hacía buen tiempo, a Castello di Cireglio, donde había un evento que me interesaba: una representación de canciones populares toscanas y argentinas. Castello di Cireglio se encuentra en las montañas de Pistoia, un pueblo algo escondido bajo el pueblo principal de Cireglio, que es mucho más moderno que Castello. Para llegar, son unos treinta minutos por una hermosa carretera panorámica. This small village is nestled in woods rich in chestnut and acacia trees, much appreciated during chestnut season. We might even return to look for some! It is the birthplace of Policarpo Petrocchi, a famous Pistoia writer and scholar. The city's art institute, as well as several parks and streets, are named after him. This small village is renowned for its rather exclusive literary and artistic initiatives. As soon as we began our visit, we immediately fell in love with this little village, with its narrow cobbled streets and alleys. Its ancient yet well-maintained appearance, with every house carefully maintained and embellished, makes it truly a little gem of rare beauty. The village has the typical appearance of small Tuscan villages, the air was a little cooler than in the city and there was a truly serene and peaceful atmosphere among those small flower-filled alleys. We first visited the upper, outer part of the village and then immersed ourselves in its center, which I will describe in detail in a future post because there is so much to say and describe. Este pequeño pueblo se encuentra enclavado en bosques ricos en castaños y acacias, muy apreciados durante la temporada de castañas. ¡Quizás incluso volvamos a buscar algunas! Es la cuna de Policarpo Petrocchi, un famoso escritor y erudito de Pistoia. El instituto de arte de la ciudad, así como varios parques y calles, llevan su nombre. Este pequeño pueblo es famoso por sus iniciativas literarias y artísticas bastante exclusivas. Nada más comenzar nuestra visita, nos enamoramos de inmediato de este pequeño pueblo, con sus estrechas calles y callejones empedrados.
