bout 15 years ago I got to know the famous Tosquera de Ezeiza. It is located in the town of Tristán Suárez in Ezeiza, about 20 km from my home. For those who do not know, the Tosquera is the place where they remove the tosca, that hard soil that later ends up filling land, making house foundations, or building roads for private neighborhoods in the town of Ezeiza and surrounding areas. >! [Spanish] Hace unos 15 años aproximadamente conocí la famosa Tosquera de Ezeiza. Está situado en la localidad de Tristán Suárez de Ezeiza, distante unos 20 km de mi casa. Para el que no sabe, la tosquera es ese lugar donde sacan la tosca, esa tierra medio dura que después termina rellenando terrenos, haciendo bases de casas, o levantando caminos para los barrios privados de la localidad de Ezeiza y aledaños. > > ___    The point is that I returned a few days ago after a long time and I was left with my mouth open. The place is practically unrecognizable, although I must confess that at the time it already had its wonderful properties, which meant that several cycling and duathlon sporting events have been held there. But this time the change was practically unrecognizable. It changed, but for the better, where before you could only see disturbed earth, wells and a half-dull landscape, today you can breathe something else. Honestly, I loved it, because with the water, the green colors everywhere, fill the place with life. Above all, you can feel the hand of time and decisions. What I can tell in words and pictures, will never surpass being there at that moment. >! [Spanish] La cuestión es que volví hace unos días después de mucho tiempo y me quedé con la boca abierta. El lugar está prácticamente irreconocible, aunque debo confesar que en su momento ya tenía sus propiedades maravillosas, lo que hacía que en el lugar se haya realizado varios eventos deportivos de ciclismo y duatlón. Pero esta vez el cambio fue prácticamente irreconocible. Cambió, pero para bien, donde antes solo se veía tierra removida, pozos y un paisaje medio apagado, hoy se respira otra cosa. Sinceramente, me encantó, ya que con el agua, los colores verdes por doquier, llenan de vida el sitio. Sobre todo se nota la mano del tiempo y de las decisiones. Lo que puedo contar con palabras e imágenes, nunca superará estar ahí en ese momento. > > ___ ||| |-|-| || |       And as we say in Argentina, I fell for it. We are just like that place. Every day we are transforming ourselves, whether we realize it or not. And that transformation does not come from nothing, it comes from what we do, what we think and from all the routines we do in our daily life. And just as the rough stone taken from the earth is used to build something new, our daily actions today are defining what we are going to do tomorrow. Be careful with that! >! Y esa transformación no viene de la nada, sino que viene de lo que hacemos, lo que pensamos y de todas las rutinas que hacemos en nuestro día a día. Hoy capaz, no lo notas, pero cada decisión que tomas, por más mínima que sea, te va moldeando. Él llega al ciclismo buscando un cambio radical en su vida y me contaba que en varias ocasiones fue al lugar simplemente para despejar la mente y observar lo pequeño que somos ante tanta inmensidad. > > ___ |||| |-|-|-| ||||       On weekdays, since there are many trucks and machines working, they practically don't let you in. But on weekends, since there are fewer people working, the operators in the area pretend they don't see you. And that is why that Saturday we went, we were able to enter and enjoy a while, riding our bikes and filling our retinas with beautiful moments and memories. >! [Spanish] Los días de semana, el lugar como hay muchos camiones y máquinas trabajando, prácticamente no te dejan entrar. Pero los fines de semana, al haber menos personas trabajando, los operarios de la zona hacen como que no te ven.
