Hi 👋 It has been some time since my holidays in Spain, but whenever I look at the photos, I feel a deep sense of nostalgia. The warm light of the sun, the calmness of the Mediterranean, and the quiet beauty of small hidden places always come back to my mind. Even now, as I write these words, I can almost hear the soft sound of the waves and feel the fresh morning breeze. This place is not one of the most famous beaches in Alicante, but for me, it became unforgettable. It is simple, quiet, and unique.

Já passou algum tempo desde as minhas férias em Espanha, mas sempre que vejo as fotos, sinto uma profunda nostalgia. A luz quente do sol, a tranquilidade do Mediterrâneo e a beleza tranquila de pequenos lugares escondidos vêm-me sempre à mente. Mesmo agora, enquanto escrevo estas palavras, quase consigo ouvir o som suave das ondas e sentir a brisa fresca da manhã. Este local não é das praias mais famosas de Alicante, mas para mim tornou-se inesquecível. É simples, tranquilo e único.  The coast of Campello has many paths and open areas where you can walk, run or simply take a slow stroll with no hurry. It is one of those regions where you can spend hours just moving at your own pace, without any pressure. The smell of the sea, the sound of the waves, and the wide views make every step feel light. When I decided to go for a run that morning, I did not plan to find anything special. My idea was simple, to enjoy the exercise, to breathe the fresh air and to start the day with positive energy.

A costa de Campello tem muitos trilhos e áreas abertas onde pode caminhar, correr ou simplesmente dar um passeio tranquilo, sem pressas. É uma daquelas regiões onde pode passar horas a mexer-se ao seu próprio ritmo, sem pressão. O cheiro do mar, o som das ondas e as vistas amplas fazem com que cada passo pareça leve. Quando decidi correr nessa manhã, não planeei encontrar nada de especial. A minha ideia era simples, desfrutar do exercício, respirar ar fresco e começar o dia com energia positiva.     As I ran along the coast, I suddenly arrived at a small beach. There were no big signs, no noise, no crowds. Just a quiet corner waiting to be noticed. This was Platja de Gossos. At first, I slowed down to take a better look. The beach was completely empty. There was no one around. The sand stretched quietly, and the gentle waves touched the shore with a relaxing rhythm. I immediately felt something special about this place. It was not just another beach; it was a space where time seemed to stop.

Enquanto corria ao longo da costa, de repente cheguei a uma pequena praia. Não havia grandes placas, nem barulho, nem multidão. Apenas um canto tranquilo à espera de ser notado. Era a Platja de Gossos, em Punta del Riu. A princípio, abrandei o ritmo para observar melhor. A praia estava completamente vazia. Não havia ninguém por perto. A areia estendia-se silenciosamente e as ondas suaves tocavam a praia com um ritmo relaxante. Senti imediatamente algo especial naquele lugar. Não era apenas mais uma praia; era um espaço onde o tempo parecia parar. The most remarkable thing about this beach was the silence. In many parts of Alicante, especially in summer, you find people everywhere, families, tourists and groups of friends enjoying the sea. But here, there was nothing but peace. The beach was silent, calm and still. That quietness allowed me to slow down my run. I stopped for a while, just to breathe and look around. The combination of the golden light, the soft sound of the waves and the empty landscape made me feel completely at ease.

O mais notável nesta praia era o silêncio. Em muitas partes de Alicante, especialmente no verão, encontra pessoas por todo o lado, famílias, turistas e grupos de amigos a desfrutar do mar. Mas aqui, não havia nada além de paz. A praia era silenciosa, calma e tranquila. Este silêncio permitiu-me desacelerar a corrida. Parei por um tempo, apenas para respirar e olhar em redor. A combinação da luz dourada, o som suave das ondas e a paisagem vazia fizeram-me sentir completamente à vontade.     After a few minutes, I sat down on the sand. My plan was to continue my run, but in that moment, I knew I needed to stop. Sometimes, the body asks for movement, but the mind asks for rest. This was one of those moments. Sitting there, I felt a deep sense of relaxation. My breathing slowed, my muscles softened, and my thoughts became lighter. It was as if the whole world had disappeared, leaving only me and the sea. It is not always easy to find a place like this during a trip, but when you do, it feels like a gift.

There is something about quiet beaches that invites reflection. While I sat at Platja de Gossos, I started to think about many things, about life, about time, about the importance of slowing down. Holidays often pass quickly, full of activity and excitement, but sometimes the best memories are created in moments of stillness. This beach gave me that space. It was not only about the beauty of the sea or the sunshine. It was about the chance to look inside, to reconnect with myself and to appreciate the simple fact of being there.

Há algo nas praias tranquilas que convida à reflexão. Enquanto estava sentado na Platja de Gossos, comecei a pensar em muitas coisas, na vida, no tempo, na importância de abrandar. As férias costumam passar depressa, cheias de atividade e emoção, mas por vezes as melhores memórias são criadas em momentos de tranquilidade. Esta praia deu-me esse espaço. Não se tratava apenas da beleza do mar ou do sol. Tratava-se da oportunidade de olhar para dentro, de me reconectar comigo mesmo e de apreciar o simples facto de estar ali.     Now, as I look back, I realize how much I miss that moment. The photos I took that day bring back strong emotions. Every time I see them, I wish I could return, not only to the beach but also to the feeling of peace it gave me.

Agora, olhando para trás, apercebo-me da falta que sinto daquele momento. As fotos que tirei nesse dia trazem-me emoções fortes. Cada vez que as vejo, desejo poder regressar, não só à praia, mas também à sensação de paz que ela me proporcionava. Many people travel to visit famous monuments, busy cities, or well-known attractions. And of course, those are important and enjoyable. But places like this remind us that sometimes the true treasures are the quiet, hidden spots. A small beach without crowds can be more powerful than a big landmark because it gives you space to breathe, to think, and to feel.

Muitas pessoas viajam para visitar monumentos famosos, cidades movimentadas ou atrações famosas. E, claro, estes locais são importantes e agradáveis. Mas lugares como este lembram-nos que, por vezes, os verdadeiros tesouros são os lugares tranquilos e escondidos. Uma pequena praia sem multidões pode ser mais poderosa do que um grande ponto turístico, porque lhe dá espaço para respirar, pensar e sentir.     My holidays in Alicante are now over, but the memories remain alive. The sunny days, the beautiful walks, the calm sea, all of it stays in my mind. And among all those memories. It was a quiet, peaceful, and reflective moment. A moment that allowed me to rest, relax, and connect with myself. A place that I will always remember with nostalgia and joy.
