Hello there!
Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries and regions, including Japan, Maldives, Indonesia, US and the latest one being several countries in Europe, it's time to fly south and share on one of most picturesque countries in the world, and that's New Zealand!
This trip was took place several years back in 2015, and the trip was filled with adventures and many unique activities and experiences.
Here are the posts so far: Day Hike @ Tongariro Alpine Crossing New Zealand - Dolphin Watching At Bay Of Islands
After dolphin watching, we next alighted at one of the islands in the Otehei Bay area. I didn't know what to expect but I remembered feeling very relieved to take a break from the rocky waters and step on stable ground. A big sign greeted us when we reached!

As I "regained my senses", I soon realised this island is almost like a paradise. Green hills, blue skies, it is very scenic for sure!

There was standard path on the island, and we just followed everyone else and continued walking ahead. To be honest, I also didn't know how big the island was as well. Haha.

Soon enough, I found myself walking uphill. Everyone was going up so I just tagged along, while enjoying scenery at the same time.

Ah so this was what we were aiming for - the view! Look how far we were from the waters and the cruise! Definitely climbed a long way for this view, which was worth it!

On the other side of the hill top, it was more peaceful and the calming blue waters were quite a sight too!

And then I noticed dropping on the grass! This is an island, so where did these come from?

And then I saw them! Lol!

And more! In New Zealand, this is quite a common sight actually.

The sun came out and I took a final photo before it's time to head back to the cruise! For me, it always feels therapeutic to be in nature, gazing at the greens and the blues, smelling the fresh air, and soaking the serenity of this place.

Walked back to the jetty and it's time to board the cruise!

And this marked the end of the cruise adventure!

All in all, I must say this was been an fun cruise adventure, with several different experiences combined within an afternoon. If I had to pick the best part, it would definitely be the dolphins because that's something more unique. Definitely thankful that the weather held up and we were lucky enough to get the best out of this experience! But because of my motion sickness and seasickness issue, I definitely wouldn't do something like this again. So in a way, this was a once in a lifetime experience for me. Hehe! Stay tuned for the rest of my adventures in New Zealand!
And that's all I have today! Have you been to New Zealand? Let me know in the comments below!
Finally, thanks for reading my post in the community under World Map Pin!
