This was taken from our family trip to Samboan, can be found at the south part of Cebu. Living in the province gives you peace and simplicity of life which is totally opposite of the fast-paced city life.

What I like visiting my province is the unbeatable views & soaring mountains, our place has a picturesque view where you can see the sea that gives most magnificent sunsets & nightsky you'll ever see. This place never fails to give an amazing vibe as the sun hits on the horizon while you and your family enjoys it with some fresh homecooked meals.

- You might be awed on those tall skyscrapers but nothing compares to lush landscapes and fresh air. I could not help but admire These are the moments that makes me calm and relax after the busy day at the city. There are also lots of fun activities in the province such as hiking, swimming & camping. Samboan is also known for many majestic falls, beaches and historic marks.
It also reminded me of my younger years where me and my cousins helped our neighbor while they were harvesting crops on their own backyard, those who helped will have their shares. This is the simplicity of lifestyle, fish, crops & fruits are available everywhere, you might just ask permission first before you harvest it.

St. Micheal the Archangel Church

Samboan's town fiesta is celebrated each 29-30th of September in honor of the patron saint, Micheal known as San Miguel/the Archangel. Beside the church is a historical Spanish-built Watch Tower, also made up by coral rocks. The Watch tower is the tallest tower in the entire Cebu island.
Traditionally, people living there celebrates their fiesta by cooking heaps of delectable foods, opening their doors to all the visitors and also hearing church holy mass & street parade. Everyone in the town will invite you to eat their flavorful foods and even pack you meals for you, that's how friendly they are.
Streets will be filled with colorful bandanas and parade of dancers, the town is also holding an event such as pole climbing, pig catching, cock fights and fun fairs that are open to everyone. By the end of the day you will have a blast and a happy tummy!

I also could not help but notice & admire the strong family ties they build, I guess due to less technology there's more engagement & time in each family member. I love the life of simpleness and humbleness of the folks who lives there. A true beauty where you can feel, enjoy and be grateful. Guess there's a charm to province living that you can't find in the city.
