My friends and I are in the Sliven Balkan and that day we decided to find a drinking water fountain called "Momina Salza".
It is located on the road to the Yamata area of the village of Ichera. It turns left from a dirt road and goes down to the Luda Kamchia River, where the "Zdrav Kosten" river pool is located.
We tried to get there by a route that turned out to be difficult - we had to walk while keeping our balance on a fallen tree, so some of us gave up and looked for another way to get there.
We walked through tall grass, at times wading in the river.
The view and the feeling of being in this place were very invigorating. It was full of beautiful plants and we were surrounded by huge leaves.
We climbed a steep path, which was quite narrow in places. The rocks around us were covered with fluffy green moss.
We soon reached the fountain. It was located on a charming rock, with crystal clear water flowing down it and large areas covered with moss.
The water that flowed from it was uniquely delicious.
A forest geranium grew on the rock.
There is no information about this fountain, we only heard a short story about a girl named Ruska, who was kidnapped and imprisoned there by a zmei (a dragon-like creature from Bulgarian folklore).
The descent was also challenging.
My friends and I were very happy to find the fountain "Momina Salza".
