To conclude this section of my short visit to the city of Valencia, Carabobo State, Venezuela, where I studied and lived for a long time, I want to show you this part of the city center, which has always been magical due to its surroundings. The architecture is so magnificent and a milestone for the stories to be told about this place. Many of these sites, which have endured for centuries, remain as part of the city's heritage, for all that it can mean.

This point leads to the famous Sucre square, named after Antonio José de Sucre, the former president of Bolivia and also an important hero of Venezuelan independence. A sculpture of him can be seen in the middle of this beautiful plaza. Surrounding it are a series of buildings of great architectural importance to the city, including the Government Palace, the University of Carabobo Rector's Office, where classes were previously held, the Valencia Municipal Theater, and other sites of great interest. These are places that make you feel like you're in that past that still exists today, alive within those walls and facades.

For many years, this place has always been a regular stop for me, both to contemplate the evening and to take countless photographs. However, on this occasion, I didn't have my camera with me, so I took all these photographs with my cell phone camera, which somehow solves the problem and is much more practical for me to be on the go, unlike carrying my camera, which takes up more space. Of course, I always have to be careful where I take photos.

On the other hand, at this point in the city center, we can appreciate the grandeur of these colonial and neoclassical architectural works. It is a point of great importance that has remained in this city for many generations. Otherwise, it would be very different if this did not exist. There are many streets where you can see large expanses of commercial businesses, some of which maintain their old buildings, while others have had to be modified over time, trying to enter the modern era of construction. Well, this center itself is known for its great commercial activity, however, beyond that, this place has its importance regarding culture, history, and architecture.

Unlike other historic centers, such as Ciudad Bolívar in Bolívar state, Venezuela, where the historic center is further away from the city center. In Valencia, everything is close together, so you can find everything within a few meters, from a place that sells food, clothing, or even a museum or a government institution. That's partly what's interesting about it, but it also breaks the aesthetic that maintains the entire environment of the place a bit. Still, it's a wonderful place worth visiting. For all those who travel to the city of Valencia, consider visiting Plaza Sucre and its surroundings, as well as all the extensions that encompass the city center and nearby Bolívar square and its cathedral.

All photographs are mine.
