The Parque de Recreación La Federación is an iconic place in the city of Barinas, where nature highlights freshness and beauty. It is located on Avenida 23 de enero, right next to the museum Los Llanos, La Federación Park is a reference and meeting point for the entire population of Barinas, and which has kept memories of several generations. The park is very large, with approximately 14 hectares, designed for family enjoyment. This park is one of the most beautiful memories of my childhood, beyond all the space was considered one of the zoos of Barinas, since in addition to being park had a variety of animals, such as monkeys, chigüires, deer, peacock and others, lately on each visit the animals that had were less leaving only a few, being the last thing I remembered of this great park, although rumors and visits from other people nearby, told me that the park has changed a lot, and even the number of animals was no longer the same. A few days ago I had the joy of going there, remembering many experiences of this incredible place, because even though it has changed a lot, its beauty is still the same.

El Parque de Recreación La Federación es un lugar icono de la ciudad de Barinas, donde la naturaleza resalta frescura y belleza. Esta ubicado en la Avenida 23 de enero, justo al lado del museo Los Llanos, el Parque de La Federación es un punto de referencia y encuentro para toda la población Barinesa, y en la cual ha mantenido recuerdos de varias generaciones. El parque es demasiado grande, cuenta con aproximadamente 14 hectáreas, diseñadas para el disfrute familiar. Este parque es uno de los recuerdos mas bonitos de mi infancia, mas allá de todo el espacio era considerado una de los zoológicos de Barinas, puesto que además de ser parque tenia gran variedad de animales, como monos, chigüires, venados, pavo real y otros, últimamente en cada visita los animales que habían eran menos dejando solo algunos, siendo lo último que recordaba de este grandioso parque, aunque por rumores y visitas de otras personas cercanas, me decían que el parque ha cambiado mucho, e incluso la cantidad de animales ya no era la misma. Hace algunos dias tuve la dicha de ir, recordando muchas vivencias del increíble sitio, porque a pesar de que ha cambiado mucho, su belleza no deja de ser la misma.


Upon arriving at the site the first thing you see on one of the walls is a large mural, which shows two men, surrounded by trees and animals, although this mural has no description, in my opinion it should represent the park that you are about to enter, next to it are the gates giving the Welcome with the information of its schedule, which indicates that on Mondays the park is closed and the other days they work from 6: When you enter you see the immensity of the park from side to side with many trees, and a central path where you can appreciate each space, on one side there is a space where you can leave the motorcycles under the supervision of the workers at the entrance.

Al llegar al sitio lo primero que se aprecia en una de las paredes es un gran mural, en el cual se aprecian dos hombres, rodeados de árboles y animales, aunque este mural no tiene ninguna descripción, según mi opinión debe representar el parque que se esta por entrar, al lado están las rejas dando la Bienvenida con la información de su horario, el cual indica que los lunes el parque esta cerrado y los demás días trabajan de 6:00am a 6:00pm, al entrar ya ves la inmensidad que hay de lado a lado del parque con muchos árboles, y un camino central donde aprecias cada espacio, a un lado hay un espacio donde puedes dejar las motos bajo la supervisión de los trabajadores de la entrada.

As you continue walking you can see trees all around filling the city with freshness, the second straight road from the entrance you can see a small traffic circle which indicates paths to the surroundings and in the center a statue of Ezequiel Zamora, on the other hand something that I found very attractive about the park is that as you walk you can see signs, some indicate the name of the tree, others the names of the forests that help you locate easily in such a large park, and of course many with phrases to keep the park in good condition.

Al seguir avanzando sin duda se aprecian en todos sus alrededores árboles llenando de frescura la ciudad, al segundo camino recto desde la entrada se aprecia una pequeña redoma en el cual indican caminos a los alrededores y en el centro una estatua de Ezequiel Zamora, por otro lado algo que me pareció muy atractivo del parque es que mientras caminas se observan letreros, algunos indican el nombre del árbol, otros los nombres de los bosques que ayudan a ubicarte fácilmente en un parque tan grande, y por supuesto muchos con frases para mantener en buenas condiciones el parque.

And the more you advance, the more things you have to discover about this immense park, which feels like it never ends, as you continue you can see a large lagoon, being the most attractive area of the park, since many children have fun watching the turtles that inhabit the lagoon, and as a plus this park has bathrooms being something very important because really visiting the park the federation inspires you to stay a long time.

Y cuanto mas avanzas, mas cosas tienes por descubrir de este inmenso parque, el cual sientes que nunca tiene fin, al seguir se aprecia una gran laguna, siendo el área mas atractiva del parque, puesto que muchos niños se divierten viendo los galápagos que habitan en dicha laguna, y como buen plus este parque cuenta con baños siendo algo muy importante porque realmente visitar el parque la federación te inspira quedarte mucho tiempo.


After appreciating the lagoon for a while, we continued walking and letting ourselves be guided by the cement roads, and in many parts there were spaces for people who ride in cars, also have a ramp far away from the children's sites, that way they do not open accidents, in turn you get eco gym, has bars and some machines for exercise being totally free, and near them a small fun house for children if you take them company and do not want to lose sight of it.

Después de apreciar un rato la laguna, seguimos paseando y dejándonos guiar por los caminos de cemento, y en muchas partes habían espacios para las personas que andan en carro, también cuentan con rampa quedando muy alejada de los sitios de los niños, de esa forma no abran accidentes, a su vez se consigue eco gym, tiene barras y algunas maquinas para hacer ejercicio siendo totalmente gratis, y cerca de ellos una pequeña casa de diversión para los niños si los llevas de compañía y no quieres perderlo de vista.


And as if it were not enough and after giving a great tour of the park you get a bridge that is between the lagoon and the middle of the park as a detour to return to the beginning of the park, another attraction that has the same, which have boats which are rented to take a walk around the entire lagoon is certainly a great experience. And from the bridge the view is much more beautiful, you can appreciate the immensely beautiful sky and in the distance decorated among the green of the trees, you feel so much peace and tranquility.

Y como si hubiese sido poco ya luego de dar un gran recorrido al parque se consigue un puente que esta entre la laguna y la mitad del parque como desvío para volver al inicio del parque, otra atracción que tiene el mismo, que cuentan con botes los cuales alquilan para dar un paseo por el alrededor de toda la laguna sin duda es una gran experiencia. Y desde el puente la vista es mucho más hermosa, se aprecia el cielo inmensamente bello y a lo lejos decorado entre lo verde de los árboles, sientes tanta paz y tranquilidad.

La Federación Park also has a fast track that will give you a tour around the park, which is the famous little train I had the joy to ride many times, it is very fun, currently works only some days, as a last stop we went through the playground there is where the swings, slides and many areas for the little ones are. El Parque La Federación también cuenta con una vía rápida que te dará un tours por todo el parque, el cual es el famoso tren de pequeña tuve la dicha de dar paseo muchas veces, es muy divertido, actualmente funciona solo algunos días, como última parada pasamos por el parque infantil allí es donde están los columpios, toboganes y muchas áreas para los pequeños. Por otro lado cuentan con clasificación se basura a un estilo muy bonito y reciclado.
