Cosechando éxitos. ¿No les parece una frase hermosa? Es un recordatorio de que, al dar todo sin esperar nada a cambio, recibimos las bendiciones de la vida. Quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia muy grata. Mi yerno, el hijo que me regaló la vida es del pueblo donde viven mis padres, un lugar donde solo hay oportunidades de estudio hasta el bachillerato. Mi hija decidió irse allí con mis padres y mi hermano para culminar su educación, y fue allí donde conoció a mi yerno, quien estaba un año adelantado en sus estudios. Al terminar el bachillerato, sus padres no pudieron brindarle la oportunidad de continuar su formación universitaria debido a problemas económicos. >Reaping success - isn't that a beautiful phrase? It is a reminder that by giving everything without expecting anything in return, we receive life's blessings. I want to share with you a very pleasant experience. My son-in-law, the son who gave me the gift of life, is from the town where my parents live, a place where there are only opportunities to study up to high school. My daughter decided to go there with my parents and my brother to finish her education, and it was there where she met my son-in-law, who was a year ahead in his studies. When she finished high school, her parents could not give her the opportunity to continue her university education due to economic problems. Asistí a su acto de grado en el pueblo, donde disfrutamos de una celebración llena de buena energía, ya que nuestra comunidad está llena de personas maravillosas caracterizadas por la alegría, la empatía y la algarabía. En medio de la fiesta, mi hija me llamó para ayudarla a recoger su equipaje, ya que regresaría conmigo después de dos años lejos. >When my daughter finished her studies, she was already assigned her career in Naval Engineering. I attended her graduation ceremony in town, where we enjoyed a celebration full of good energy, as our community is full of wonderful people characterized by joy, empathy and merriment. In the middle of the party, my daughter called me to help her pick up her luggage, as she would be returning with me after two years away.  Al terminar, me pidió que apoyara a su novio para que pudiera obtener un título universitario. Acepté encantada de brindarle mi apoyo en todo lo que pudiera. Al día siguiente regresamos a casa felices y ella inició su proceso de inscripción para el curso introductorio. Desafortunadamente, él había perdido su cupo en ese momento. Sin embargo, mi esposo habló con el decano y le ofreció la oportunidad de comenzar en la carrera de economía; si lograba pasar el primer semestre, podría cambiarse a ingeniería Naval. Así fue como logró ingresar a esa hermosa carrera. >After finishing, she asked me to support her boyfriend so he could get a college degree. I gladly agreed to support her in any way I could. The next day we returned home happy and she started her enrollment process for the introductory course. Unfortunately, he had lost his spot at that time. However, my husband talked to the dean and offered him the opportunity to start in economics; if he could pass the first semester, he could switch to Naval Engineering. That is how he was able to enter that beautiful career.  Con el paso de los años, mi hija siempre estuvo allí apoyándolo para que avanzara día a día. Nosotros también lo apoyamos completamente, ya que proviene de una familia humilde pero llena de valores como los nuestros. Con el tiempo se ganó nuestro cariño y ya no lo vemos solo como un yerno, sino como otro hijo. Como dice la frase "cosechando éxitos", llegó el gran día este miércoles 25 de junio: era su defensa del proyecto de grado. Como agradecimiento, nos pidió que estuviéramos a su lado. Sus padres llegaron temprano desde el pueblo porque su ponencia estaba programada para las cuatro de la tarde. >As the years went by, my daughter was always there supporting him so that he could advance day by day. We also support him completely, since he comes from a humble family but full of values like ours. As time went by he won our affection and we no longer see him as just a son-in-law, but as another son. As the phrase "reaping success" goes, the big day arrived this Wednesday, June 25: it was his degree project defense. As a thank you, he asked us to be by his side. His parents arrived early from town because his presentation was scheduled for four o'clock in the afternoon.  Ese día, el clima no ayudaba debido a las lluvias, así que decidí salir temprano con mi esposo para llevar los obsequios al jurado del evento. Afortunadamente llegamos justo a tiempo; su ponencia comenzó a las 2:45 PM. Fue un momento emocionante y conmovedor; en tan solo 15 minutos terminó su presentación y nos pidieron salir para deliberar sobre su puntuación. A los cinco minutos nos llamaron nuevamente para leer el acta: ¡había aprobado con la mayor puntuación! Todos celebramos con aplausos y corrimos a abrazarlo y felicitarlo por cosechar lo que había sembrado con tanto esfuerzo. >That day, the weather was not helping due to the rains, so I decided to leave early with my husband to bring the gifts to the jury of the event. Fortunately we arrived just in time; his presentation started at 2:45 PM. It was an exciting and moving moment; in just 15 minutes he finished his presentation and we were asked to leave to deliberate on his score. After five minutes we were called back to read the minutes: he had passed with the highest score! We all celebrated with applause and ran to hug him and congratulate him for reaping what he had sown with so much effort.   Compartimos muchos pasapalos y gaseosas antes de regresar a casa, donde continuamos la celebración en este gran paso de su vida. Con mucho orgullo puedo decir que estamos felices de haberle brindado todo el apoyo necesario durante estos años y ser parte de este logro alcanzado. Amigos míos, si tienen la oportunidad de apoyar a personas que desean superarse pero no cuentan con nadie, ¡háganlo! Les aseguro que es gratificante hacerlo desde el corazón.
