A couple of days ago, I dedicated myself to watching the first season of Patience. A British thriller, investigation, and even drama series that highlights the abilities of a young woman with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Its synopsis basically tells us about a girl caught in the middle of criminal records who has an incredible instinct for crime scenes. A detective discovers this talent and involves her in her investigations.
The series unfolds with a case investigation in each episode. Patience Evans (Ella Maisy Purvis) is a brilliant young woman who also has wonderful reading and deduction skills, and is able to suggest key pieces in each case investigation as if it were a puzzle. This talented girl is discovered for her abilities by Detective Bea Metcalf, who practically moves her from her completely planned routine to add her to her investigative team.
Every event or occurrence has an emotional connotation. It's like putting together a puzzle, where each piece reveals personal and emotional aspects of both the victims and the investigators.

Hace un par de días me dediqué a ver la 1ra temporada de Patience o Paciencia al español. Una serie británica del género Trhiller, investigación e incluso drama, que resalta las habilidades de una mujer joven con TEA (Trastorno del Espectro Autista). Su sinopsis básicamente nos cuenta sobre una chica en medio de archivos penales, que tiene un increíble instinto para las escenas del crimen. Una detective descubre éste talento, para involucrarla en sus investigaciones.
La serie se desarrolla con un caso de investigación en cada capítulo. Patience Evans (Ella Maisy Purvis) es una joven brillante, que además tiene habilidades maravillosas para la lectura, las deducciones, es capaz de sugerir piezas fundamentales en cada caso de investigación como si fuera un puzzle. Ésta talentosa chica, es descubierta por sus capacidades por la detective Bea Metcalf, quien prácticamente la mueve de su rutina totalmente planificada, para sumarla a su equipo de investigación.
Cada evento o suceso tiene una connotación emocional. Es como armar rompecabezas donde cada pieza pone de manifiesto aspectos personales y emocionales tanto de las víctimas como de los investigadores.
Sus personajes principales como en el caso de Patience Evans (Ella Maisy Purvis), es una joven que en la vida real tiene éste trastorno (TEA), supo manejarse entre la vida real y su papel en la serie. También marca una posición en cuanto al papel de la mujer con ésta condición, llevando a cabo una actuación impecable, convincente, se mostró capaz, audaz, se muestra resilente a pesar de la poca paciencia de otros.
La detective Bea Metcalf (Laura Fraser), mantiene una postura fuerte, pero a la vez maneja cada situación que involucra a Patience de manera empática, al punto de que la involucra en sus situaciones familiares. Tiene un enfoque protector.
La temática del autismo o la neuro divergencia se maneja con mucho respeto, a grandes rasgos se reconocen las habilidades de jovenes diagnosticados con éste trastorno o déficit a lo largo de la trama. En cuanto al ambiente, las locaciones europeas, calles y avenidas, no dejan de ser tradicionales, pero encantadoras, filmaciones entre Reino Unido, Bélgica.
Patience vive sentimientos encontrados, relacionados con la amistad, pareja, compañerismo, experimenta situaciones fuera de su zona de confort.
Patience es más que un personaje o una serie, es un reconocimiento a las personas que tienen (TEA) su papel en la sociedad, en los grandes logros, avances, en la familia. Por otro lado la serie nos muestra historias conmovedoras, sensibles, el papel de la mujer tanto a nivel de éste trastorno como en la investigación, en jefaturas relevantes.
Se tocan temas como la maternidad lejos de ser perfecta, el duelo, la incertidumbre, todo esto se ve a medida que se desarrolla cada caso. El aspecto emocional o familiar resalta mucho en éste tipo de series, tratando de humanizar a los personajes principales, más allá de las similitudes, Patience promete más camino lleno de matices.
En mi opinión "Patience" es una serie que invita a la reflexión, al reconocimiento, a la paciencia que tienen muchas personas con éste trastorno, también quienes conviven con ellos, a la empatía. Mi recomendación es para aquellos que aman las historias con matices emocionales, con éste nuevo enfoque de investigadores con (TEA) que venimos disfrutando en otras series, ahora más con el papel de la mujer mas éste trastorno, que nos enseña que si pueden ocupar un lugar reconocido e importante en la sociedad.
Mi puntuación es 9/10, me encantó desde todo éste enfoque anterior. Si me hubiese gustado que desarrollarán más el tema de la ausencia de la madre de Patience en ésta primera temporada.
