Five days? It's been five days since I last posted? How!?!

Well, in those days I've probably packed in fifty days of life, and now I am sitting here in my old office/new to me bedroom in my house down in Idaho typing this, so I feel definitely a bit surreal.

You see, I am down out of the mountains because we had to come down and pick up the ranch truck (which was repaired), a dump trailer, and go to our friend's 50th birthday bash. Since I am heading out on a girl's trip with my daughter and friends here shortly, I decided I better head to my other home and get some stuff done since my school starts back up for me the 18th.

I have been running around doing paperwork and chores ever since.

It hasn't been all drudgery though, I took the kids to Texas Roadhouse, I'm cooking them a nice spaghetti dinner tonight since they both work so hard, I've already whipped through most of the paperwork and chores I needed to get done, and I even got the laundry done, deep cleaned half the house, and have been playing a lot of with grand puppy, so no sedateness here.

Although, I think I am going to go out on the porch and sit and sip a spell, I'm kinda tired, weird that....

But the weirdest thing, is how not like home this feels already. My new home is at the ranch up in the woods, this chapter is ending for now. As I read the post card our son sent from basic training, I realized that my life has changed in the most Kat-like way, with intense style and in a fantastical manner. I definitely don't do things subtly for sure.

But you know what, aside from a plethora of feelings and a bit of discomfort at the change, I am mostly excited. Everything is always an adventure for me anyways, and this one my friends, it's the biggest one yet! Who knows what's coming down the pipe!

And on that note, if the Universe is gently (or not so gently) prodding you with situational change, I wholeheartedly recommend leaning into the discomfort. It's not always fun walking through a new door, but boy or boy is it real and living to the max!!

And as almost always, all of the images in this post were taken on the author's mostly magnificent and never ever repentant iPhone.
