When was the last weekend you did something completely and totally different to what you usually do - Explain what it was and why you did it.

This prompt actually got me thinking when was the last time I did something out of the ordinary. And then a thought struck my mind - why not find something different to do this weekend? And so I did!

I am not sure if anyone knows or uses the ClassPass app (this is NOT a sponsored post, I just needed to mention them to explain the context), basically one buys credits and uses credits to pay for visits to gyms and many other stuff. And while randomly scrolling through the app, I came across a 3 hour pass to Ritz-Carlton hotel facilities, including the gym, the pool, and spa facilities. For those who are not aware, Ritz-Carlton is a very high end hotel so I was pleasantly surprised to find that the 3 hour pass was priced relatively affordable at SGD 32 (USD 25). And so I booked a slot today!

I was familiar with the area downtown so it was not too difficult to find this hotel. And we reached! Nice weather!

First up I went to the gym to get some workout. Their amenities were top notch, with cold towels, filtered water, and an extensive range of machines. (Of course, I am not here to promote their gym.) So anyway, the treadmill is my go-to machine because I needed the activity and to burn some calories.

And here's the proof of my 1 hour workout. Hehe. Not anything amazing but everyone's fitness level is different and we are on our own journey. I also spent some time using some of the machines as well.

With about 1.5 hour left from the 3 hour pass, it's time to check out the pool!

Their pool was located at a low level so there weren't any views, but I felt that the ambience was very calming and I even fell asleep while lazing on the deck chairs.

So here's the proof of me lazing and hoping to get some tan and Vitamin D! The pool was a little busy so I didn't swim this time.

With half an hour left, I headed back to spa, and they had the full suite of facilities including jacuzzi, sauna and steam room (not supposed to take photos there for obvious reasons) and ended the session with a nice shower.

After the 3 hour session, I felt refreshed and relaxed even though with a work out at the start. Perhaps it's the ambience at the pool, or sweating it out at the gym, or maybe it's the aromatic scents within the spa, or just a combination of everything. For the price of SGD 32 (USD 25), to enjoy the facilities of Ritz-Carlton hotel, it was definitely worth it in my view.

And the final question is, why did I did it? I think I am always game to try out new experiences but sometimes have the inertia to do so. And I must admit that this prompt gave me that well-needed nudge to brainstorm and find an interestingly different activity to do on a weekend. And the price point was a bonus. Am definitely glad that I did this today and who knows, I might be back again!

Alright, that's all I have this weekend! Thanks for reading! :)
