There is no plan in advance. Sometimes, when you don't have a plan, you can just go with the flow and see what happens. You might not know what you're getting yourself into, but that's the fun of it. I didn't have any specific plans for the weekend since I just wanted to rest up for my trip overseas next week. Then, suddenly, I was told that some of my college friends, whom I had not seen in a while, were coming to Da Nang. We're going to reunite in person for the first time since our separation after graduation in 2014.
Many of my friends from college have moved away for jobs or for other reasons. I hadn't seen them in a while (since after college) so I was really excited to spend the weekend with these lovely girls. We had so much fun, laughed, and talked for hours and it was great catching up with each other. Despite being 8 years older and even having children, my friends from college still seem like the most carefree, optimistic people I've ever met. I can't believe that they haven't changed much since after graduation!
Days spent with them goes by quickly. From the time we wake up, to the time we collapse into bed exhausted, it feels like there isn't enough time to do everything we want. We started out by riding on the scooter to Hoi An and then walked around the main areas of town. When we were in Hoi An, it was so crowded and the streets were so congested sometimes. Hahaa, Hoi An is an extremely popular spot for tourists in the country at this time of year, so this wasn't a surprise, lol.
In the afternoon, we cooked pizza and had lunch at a friend's house. There's something about eating homemade pizza that just makes everyone feel happy 😋

Summer is here and that means one thing; the beach! So our next destination after lunch was the Beach Colour, where we enjoyed a drink and a little fresh air. The sun was shining and the waves were crashing, making for an ideal day out. The Beach Colour is a great place to spend a summer day - the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. We had a great time chatting with our friends and enjoying the refreshing ocean breeze.
This past weekend was jam-packed with fun! We just want to scream "fun" and don't want to end it, haha. I'm glad I got to spend some quality time with some of my friends before leaving Viet Nam.
