Greetings to everyone in the Toys on Hive community! Today I'm joining you here to share with you the process of assembling this new Lego-style toy that I found on the market. It was a gift my partner gave me, so although the figure looked simple to put together and was meant to be assembled by just one person, we decided to do it together. It was a way to spend time as a family, and well, believe it or not, it was a bit difficult to achieve for several reasons, which I'll explain as we read on.

El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes el proceso de armar este nuevo juguete de piezas al estilo lego que he encontrado en el mercado. El mismo fue un regalo que me dió mi pareja, por lo que aunque la figura se veía sencilla de armar y era para hacerlo una sola persona, decidimos hacerlo entre los dos. Una forma de pasar el rato en familia y bueno, crean o no, fue un poco difícil de lograr por varias cuestiones que, sin embargo ire contando según avancemos en la lectura.
The figure is of a puppy. It contains a total of 128 pieces, all of which are quite small, with the longest measuring approximately 10 cm. The instructions for assembling the figure were on the back of the box and were illustrated so we could see the steps to follow. And that's where the problems arise, because the instructions weren't clear enough. The faces of the blocks weren't visible, nor were they able to connect them to the other blocks, nor were the shapes of the blocks visible (only some faces were partially visible), and a bunch of other things. I spent a while trying to put together the first part of the dog figure, which is the body. My partner (who is more astute in these matters) managed to figure it out, and little by little, we completed the first part of the body.
La figura es la de un perrito. Contiene un total de 128 piezas, las cuales tienen un tamaño bastante pequeño, midiendo el más largo de ellos unos 10 cm aproximadamente. El instructivo para armar la figura estaba al reverso de la caja y lo ilustraron de forma que pudiéramos ver los pasos a seguir. Y es justo allí cuando vienen los problemas pues las instrucciones no eran lo suficientemente claras; no se visualizaban las caras de los bloques, dónde unir los bloques con los otros bloques, la forma del bloque (solo se veía parcialmente algunas caras de los bloques) y un montón de cosas más. Dure un rato buscando armar la primera parte de la figura del perro, la cual es el cuerpo. Mi pareja (quién tiene más agudeza para estas cosas), logro discernir la cuestión y poco a poco logramos la primera parte del cuerpo.
But we soon realized something else, something that definitely can't happen for any reason in a game like this: there were missing pieces and extra pieces of other shapes that weren't required. We got stuck halfway through assembling the dog's head. Several key pieces were missing, so if we didn't add any, it wouldn't give the base stability and would be incomplete. We were left wondering what to do about it to avoid leaving the job behind. We decided to continue with the pieces we had, which (luckily) were left over in the exact colors we needed. So we completed the head, and the ears were made somewhat haphazardly, because we didn't find that many pieces. Although the result wasn't as expected, it was finally finished. Yes, it was disappointing to find that the toy didn't have all the pieces, but spending time with the family and laughing at the absurdity of the situation was totally worth it, because I think it's also the idea of getting together to play. Pero pronto nos dimos cuenta de algo más y que definitivamente no puede suceder por ningún motivo en un juego como este: faltaban piezas y sobraban piezas de otras formas que no eran requeridas. Nos quedamos atascados a mitad del trabajo cuando armábamos la cabeza del perro. Faltaban varias piezas claves, por lo que de no poner alguna no daría estabilidad a la base y quedaría incompleto. Allí nos quedamos pensando que hacer al respecto para evitar dejar tirado el trabajo, decidimos continuar con las piezas que teníamos y que (por suerte) sobraban justamente de los mismos colores que necesitábamos. Así completamos la cabeza y las orejas fueron hechas un poco al azar, porque tampoco encontramos tantas piezas. Aunque no tuvimos el resultado esperado quedó finalmente listo. Si, fue decepcionante encontrar que el juguete no tenía las piezas completas, pero pasar el tiempo en familia y riendo por lo absurdo de la situación, valió totalmente la pena pues creo que es es también la idea de reunirse a jugar.
