Hello dear friends, I hope you are all doing well. I send my regards to all the artists and illustrators who are always creating and filling Hive with their beautiful creativity. This time, I've made a small painting of the great eternal champion Ayrton Senna, in my opinion the best driver in Formula 1 history. He died tragically while driving in the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, crashing his car into the concrete. I think he left this world very young, but he left a mark that has taken him to the Olympus of legends. I've made a short video showing the process, which is an acrylic painting where I used a banknote as a canvas. I hope you like it.
Hola queridos amigos, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien, envío mis saludos para todos los dibujantes y artistas, que siempre están creando y llenando Hive con su hermosa creatividad. En esta oportunidad he realizado una pequeña pintura del gran campeón eterno Ayrton Senna, a mi modo de ver el mejor piloto de la historia en la Fórmula 1. Fallecido de manera muy trágica mientras conducía en el gran premio de San Marino en 1994, estrellando su bólido contra el hormigón, pienso que se fue muy joven de este mundo, sin embargo dejó una huella que lo llevó al Olimpo de las leyendas. He realizado un video corto mostrando el proceso, el cual es una pintura acrílica donde utilizo un billete como lienzo, espero que les guste.

I took a banknote that was in very good condition, and over the printed figure, I applied white paint with a brush to prepare the surface like a blank canvas, or even a white sheet of paper. Then, using a very light pencil, I began to gradually draw each of the details of Ayrton Senna's face.
Tomé un billete que estuviera en muy buen estado, y encima de la figura que trae impresa puse pintura blanca con un pincel, para preparar la superficie como un lienzo en blanco, o también una hoja blanca. Después comencé a dibujar con un lápiz muy claro poco a poco cada uno de los detalles del rostro de Ayrton Senna.

I first began painting a layer of paint for the base of the skin. I did a combination of red and yellow, with the red being slightly more predominant, mixing both colors with a bit of white paint. This way, I was able to achieve a skin-like color, which I applied all over the face. And to mark the eyes and expression lines, I used only light brown.
Comencé a pintar en primer lugar una capa de pintura para la base de la piel. Hice una combinación de color rojo y amarillo, donde el rojo fuera un poco más predominante, mezclados ambos colores con un poco de pintura blanca. Así pude obtener un color parecido a la piel que fui poniendo por todo el rostro. Y para marcar los ojos y las líneas de expresión solo utilicé color café claro.

Starting with the base color used previously, I lightened or darkened it, depending on which area of the face received the most light. This time, the light is coming from the left side of the image, so on the right side, I'm going to darken the face a little more, highlighting what would be the expression lines.
A partir de la base de color que fue utilizada anteriormente fue aclarando u oscureciendo, dependiendo de que zona del rostro tuviera más luz. En esta oportunidad la luz viene por el lado izquierdo de la imagen, por ende en la parte derecha voy a oscurecer un poco más el rostro. Resaltando al mismo tiempo lo que serían las líneas de expresión.

Next, it was time to darken the right side of the face. To achieve a darker finish without losing the tone, I had to gradually add brown as the right shade appeared. As for the hair, I added the outline of the hair, adding only brown. I do this as a guideline before painting the hair directly.
Después tocó oscurecer el lado derecho del rostro, para lograr oscurecer sin perder el tono yuve que ir agregano poco a poco color café mientras el tono adecuado iba apareciendo. En cuando al cabello, fui agregando la silueta del cabello, solamente agreganto color café, hago esto como una forma de guiarme para luego pintar el cabello directamente.

Next, I begin painting the hair, adding a dark shade mixed with brown all around the painted area. I add some white dots to the hair to highlight the highlights. I also paint what would become the uniform in white, and I write part of the Renault team's lettering. At the time of the image, Ayrton Senna was the driver. And that's how it was finished.
Seguidamente comienzo a pintar el cabello, alrededor de todo lo pintado voy poniendo tono oscuro mezclado con color café. Al cabello le agrego algunos puntos blancos para resaltar la iluminación sobre el cabello. Así también pinto de blanco lo que vendría a ser su uniforme, y escribo parte de las letras de la escudería Renault, que para el momento de la imagen, Ayrton Senna era su piloto, y así quedó finalizado.
