Hey ๐
And Hello November!
This weekend, I had the opportunity to stay over at my cousinโs home. It was quite a reset as heโs living in the village a bit further away from the city center. Just as a typical neighborhood here in the village, it has the kind of view thatโs pretty unmatched.
On the way to his house, all I was seeing was like the type of drawing Iโd draw as a kindergartener. Thereโs corn fields, some clouds, a weird intersection somewhere ,and a blue sky painted over an off white canvas. I donโt get to see this view daily and whenever I visit his place, I am always thankful for that opportunity.

Currently in that place, the noise is pretty minimal. I am not sure if there would be more noise in the future but as someone who hates extra noise and some loud noise everyday at 3-4 AM in the morning, staying overnight there felt like I was transported to another realm.
It felt like even big cities are quiet in their own way. But where I am living now, itโs a full blown noise 24/7. There are studies overseas showing the link between socioeconomic status and environmental noise. While that study was in Montreal, I guess that can be applied or learned where I live now. Here is the study of this [noise and socioeconomic status correlation](https://bmcpublichealth.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12889-015-1571-2?utm\_source=chatgpt.com)in any case youโre interested and are experiencing similar things & looking for some approval on this issue.
## Hosting Hive Book Chat
During the evening, I was hosting Hive Book Chat with my niece being around me. She kept trying to show me her toys and was needing my attention. By the way, if you have spare time every Saturday at 12PM UTC, feel free tuning in. This week, we have @bemier, @papageno26 and @omokhafue and @oluchi which was so intriguing that we all heard the enthusiastic voice of papageno, talking about yellowface from RF Kuang. It really makes you want to read the book.

It was also movie night for the family and we binged watched a lot of Indonesian horror movies. It was kind of fitting for the halloween vibe that we still felt. So, we binge watched quite a bit of it until 2 AM and some of our selection was pretty chilling and gore too. I might write reviews about them soon or maybe not cause I canโt even stomach them haha.
When it was time for me to leave, I didnโt want to. Parts of me didnโt want to go back to his extremely noisy environment that I came to hate. Since I also talk about free will, I am taking that chance to check out some other house I could live in. From my experience staying in that house, it was quite noise free and not as bad as this one where itโs full blown noise and not so random noise at 4 AM daily.

Obviously, itโs Sunday and that means church time. I had such an awesome experience at @littlenewthings church and still canโt move on from that one. My church in this city is a lot smaller and more intimate. This first week of the month, I got this during communion. Oh and I almost missed it because I woke up somewhat late ๐ but either way, I made it on time\!

There are so many exciting things in my horizon that I can pick and choose. I learned lately not to get too ahead of myself or blow it all together. Patience is all I need and some thinking to do. Strangely, I am back alive and this has me adjusting to so much extra energy I have. Best I could right now? Going for a swim to shake it all off ๐.

Unlike previous November where it's often somber or often just a prolonged monsoon season, this time the weather didn't bother me a bit. I had way too many surprises in life recently that felt like waves after waves. The only thing I can do? ride the waves! See where life leads me, whatever it will be, I am sure I'll finally see "the sands on the horizon" just like this robin schulz song titled waves. And this is just another season of life too. So, I hope this month will be kind to me and the people I cherish lately too.
By the way, this was one of the most meaningful projects Iโve worked on this year regarding to Hive awareness in Indonesian (SeptโFeb 2024โ2025). You can learn how I managed it here :
