Watching Jumbo at Bella Tera with My Favorite Little Siblings
Fun Missions, Popcorn, and Non-Stop Laughter! 🍿
-----
Last month we decided to create a different moment—no drama, no gadgets, no laziness, just the four of us: me, the older sibling, and three little siblings who are always excited every time we’re invited out of the house. The destination? Bella Tera Cinema! 🎉
From home, we were already excited because we were all so excited to watch the movie Jumbo. “That one, sis, the one that’s going viral, the main character is so cute!” said the youngest while jumping up and down. And yes, as usual, the trip to the cinema was never calm, some were fighting over motorbike seats, some asked to stop by to buy snacks first, and some were busy asking, “Will the movie make you sad?”
When we arrived at Bella Tera, the atmosphere was cozy and crowded. We immediately went to the popcorn counter—a must, watching a movie without popcorn is like instant noodles without seasoning! We chose jumbo popcorn with caramel mix cheese flavor, so we could get the sweet and savory taste. A big bucket that ended up making our hands fight over it throughout the movie 😅
When we entered the studio, wow. We were immediately greeted by soft chairs and cold AC that made us very comfortable. The little ones immediately arranged their sitting positions—one wanted to be close to the older sibling, one wanted to sit in the middle, the other was busy looking for a place to put the popcorn (aka on her own lap, of course!). 🤣
Then... the movie started. It turns out the Jumbo movie is not just an ordinary children's movie. The story is funny, but there are also touching parts that make the heart ache. This movie tells the story of the main character, a small but fat child, so he is nicknamed "Jumbo", he has an innocent, funny character, and is very obsessed with fairy tales. Wherever he goes, he always tells the same fairy tale over and over again, until his friends avoid him because they are tired of hearing the same fairy tale. There were moments that made us laugh together, like when Jumbo was practicing for a performance, and there were also mellow moments that made the second younger sibling blurt out, “Oh poor thing, I want to hug Jumbo…” 🥺
What was also fun was that throughout the film they were busy commenting on their own: “Eh that was so funny!” “Huh, how come?” “I want to join Jumbo’s gang too!” And me? I could only laugh while guarding the popcorn so it wouldn’t run out first! 😂
FUN HIGHLIGHTS
For me, Bella Tera cinema is comfortable, clean, and the sound system is great! Jumbo caramel cheese popcorn = heaven of flavors that are immediately finished and Jumbo films are suitable for children but still fun for adults. And the best thing is the priceless quality time with the younger siblings—more fun than scrolling through social media all day.
CONCLUSION?
For me, watching movies with my siblings at the cinema is not just about entertainment, right? But also about building memories together. In the midst of a routine that sometimes makes me tired, laughing with them is the best recharge for me. Jumbo is not just the name of the movie, but also the love that grew between us that night 💕✨
Next mission? Watching together again… but the popcorn must be two buckets so we don't fight over it again! 😜
