It's like seeing a colossal drama when you see the main KTM Berhad building in Kuala Lumpur.

Maybe in other countries buildings like this are normal and not special, but not in my country, especially in the city of my birth and where I grew up at the moment. Seeing a building with a shape like this makes me feel like I went back in time to when I was little and saw my favorite animations. This is truly a very special building for me. Something worth remembering and worth telling about with the many stories from the past that have been embedded in my subconscious is that these colossal buildings like this are the residences of princesses and princes in fairy tales.

But unfortunately it turns out that this very beautiful building is a train station in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This station is called KTM Berhad. And as soon as I saw the building I immediately fell in love. And apparently it's not just me, I see the average tourist making KTM Berhad a tourist destination which is an attraction because the building is very impressive even though there are no other colors and it looks gloomy, a little boring without any marriage of colors in the exterior design of the building. However, I think that if there is a marriage of colors here, this building will no longer have classic or artistic value that is worth visiting.

The building is like a castle with its outer walls made of brown natural stone with premium quality because this building is a historical building, but I saw that the natural stone used has not been chipped at all. Gothe-shaped indentations on each side of the building like buildings found in India. But it turns out I was wrong because this building was inspired by Greece. What is clear is that every foreign tourist who passes this building will definitely take out their camera lens to capture how beautiful the KTM Berhad building in Kuala Lumpur is.

Look at these semi-circular steps which indicate that he is no longer young with the wrinkles of the building. However, I am very happy with the small gardens in front of the building which are well maintained. Oh yeah, almost forgot. This building was built by an architect named Mr. A. B Hubback was a British citizen in 1913 and this building was completed in 1917 and this building consists of 3 floors. On the underground floor where there are railway tracks, there are 97 large gates and 4 small gates

The first floor contains 94 large Gothe-shaped gates and 4 small round gates and the roof building consists of five domes with upright pillars and located in four corners, all of which are inspired by ancient Greek art from the 14th century. And this historic building of KTM Berhad had experienced major damage twice. The first damage occurred during the Second World War when the northern part was hit by a bomb and the second damage occurred on November 14 1968 which resulted in the second floor burning down due to a bomb attack as well. But now everything is perfect and beautiful again. (I found all the information above as valid data on the historical information board attached to the front wall of KTM Berhad)

So the conclusion of this visit is not only about admiring the beauty of the KTM Berhad architecture, but also that I learned a lot about the history of this place and there is a lot of historical information around the building which makes us continue to learn to be able to appreciate the work wherever we are.
