Sometimes it doesn't match what we have in mind, but for certain reasons something looks more expensive compared to others and right now I'm telling you about a hotel at the top of the Tele Viewing Tower, one of the tourist attractions in North Sumatra. Indonesia.
Baneara Hotel is the only hotel I found on the causeway to the Tele Viewing Tower. Because it was very late and we could no longer continue the journey because it was too dangerous for safety so we looked for the nearest hotel and Baneara Hotel is a hotel located near the main entrance to the Teleview Tower. Actually, before there was a repair process like now. In this tourist attraction area, there were lots of hotels with varying prices, but because the Tele Viewing Tower was still under repair, the hotels around the Tele Viewing Tower were closed. So the Baneara Hotel is the only hotel that still survives because it is located at the main entrance to the outside of the tourist area.
In terms of architecture, this hotel can be said to be very ordinary, but because its location is very strategic and it is the only hotel, this hotel is quite expensive in terms of the price offered and there is nothing special about this hotel, with the price being quite high, but one thing is that the hotel It has quite fresh air free from pollution and here makes me comfortable, and this is one of my reasons for the price of the hotel.
From the front itself, this hotel looks like a private house, not like a hotel, and from the front, the only thing that makes it luxurious is the Hotel Brand which is placed in black natural stone, making this hotel brand more lively. After that, there is a small receptionist room in front of the entrance. Then, after we booked the hotel, we were taken to the room next to the receptionist, but in the morning I realized that this hallway was the dining room for customers who ordered food here. And this hallway is also used as a garage for visitors on motorbikes like us with a ceiling made of brown PVC with a minimalist motif.
And near the hallway there are also stairs to go up to the 2nd floor where guests stay. The stairs were made with cement as usual but were installed with ceramics with a small wooden feel, I forget the size, but with a pattern like this and the choice of size of the ceramics used, it makes the stairs more aesthetic. And this motif is also used on the hallway floor. Oh yes, on the stairs, the barrier is made of wood with a cream color.
When I got to the room I admitted that the mattress was quite soft and not hard, very comfortable to sleep with the pillows and bolsters available as well as the thick blankets and towels available. Not only that, the facilities in this room also include a television and water heater. Because this hotel is located at the top, there is no need for air conditioning here and even without air conditioning, I shivered. Another facility that I found was that there was a dining table and chairs there. Apart from that, there are hotel slippers, a towel rack and a simple mirror in the room.
The bathroom is quite clean, but the ceramic is a little yellowish like rust, probably due to the influence of the water. The ceiling is made of PVC with the same motif as the ceiling in the hallway. However, the room ceramics used here are white ceramics. In terms of facilities, this room is quite good, but because the price is quite high, around Rp. 350,000 per night. So I feel this hotel is just ordinary.
