Hello planbased friends!!! How are you today?? Hopefully your weekend will go well and happiness is always by your side.🌻
For this dinner menu, I made a simple dish from the garden produce that I picked yesterday. With the addition of vegetable protein, I think this menu contains a lot of vitamins even without animal protein.
----------
Chili Sauce Cempokak with Tempe
The cempokak that I picked yesterday was very fresh and tasted a little sweet because it was cooked right away.
--------------------
Cooking Ingredients:
- 2 pieces of tempeh
- 2 handfuls of cempokak
Fine spices:
- 1/2 ounce red chili
- 1/2 ounce small chili
- 2 pcs of shallots and garlic
- 50 ml water
- salt, sugar and flavoring 1/2 tsp each
---------------
Cooking instructions:
- Pick the cempokak and separate the fruit from the stem.
- Cut the tempeh into smaller pieces as shown in the picture.
- Prepare oil to fry tempeh and cempokak
Then fry the tempeh, after the tempeh is cooked, fry the cempokak until wilted
- Blend the fine spices that we have prepared.
- Reduce the oil used for frying. We only use a little oil to saute the spices.
Saute the ground spices until the pungent smell of the chili is gone, then add 1/2 tsp of salt, sugar and flavoring
- Stir the spices well, then add 50 ml of water to the sauteed spices.
- Then cook again until the water boils, and add all the ingredients that we have fried earlier.
- Reduce the heat, and wait for the water to boil again for a few moments. Then correct the taste. And the dish is ready to be served.
