Qurator's HIVE TOP CHEF - Cabbage Stir fry

Here goes the easy to cook recipe. According to me, this goes well with rice. Let's go for the Ingredients.

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

  • Cabbage - 1/4 kg
  • Big Ojion - 1
  • Green Chilli - 1
  • Salt - as per your taste

Coconut dry -(Coarsely grinded)

  • Coxonut - 1/4 of one coxonutgrated
  • Cumin seed 1/4 tsp
  • Garlic - 2 to 3 flakes
  • Chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  • ;Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

For Tempering

  • Coconut oil 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seed - 3/4 tsp
  • Lentil ( Urad dal) - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - a handfull

So , if you are ready with the Ingredients, lets start preparing.

STEP - 1


After rinsing the veggies with salt water

Wash and drain the Cabbage, Onion, Green Chilli and Curry leaves thoroughly in little turmeric or rock salt water. This is to kill the germs if any. Keep them aside for 10 minutes.


Later, chop these veggies and keep it ready for cooking.

STEP - 2

Now take a thick bottomed vessel and place them in medium flame. Once it become hot, add some coconut oil. When it becomes hot add mustard seeds and lentil seeds, curry leaves let them splutter. Gradually start adding Onion, Cabbage, green chillies and stir fry by adding turmeric powder and salt ro taste. Simmer and Close it for 3 minutes. Meanwhile prepare the Coconut dressing.

STEP - 3

In a mixer jar, add coconut, cumin seeds, garlic flakes, turmeric & chilli powder as mentioned. Close the lid and Coarsely grind them for 3 seconds.

STEP - 4


Finally, the cabbage is all set to be eaten hot

After 3 minutes open the lid and with a ladle just fry them evenly adding the coarsely grinded ingredients. Now fry them for another 3 minutes and switxh of the flame. Your recipe is ready to be served with rice.

Note: Please do not over cook as they are leafy vegetables.
