Yesterday, I took a drive down to Genoa, Nevada to replace a canvas print that sold out of The Genoa Gallery. The gallery is a new one, it opened up a couple months ago and I am happy to have my prints on exhibit there.
I knew the fall colors were going to be looking great so of course I brought my camera. On my drive down, I saw a rainbow but it disappeared and I thought I was just going to be shooting fall colors above Genoa. One of the gallery owners joined me on the hike up the hill and he brought his camera as well. We got wet, but it was so worth it! The rain ended up letting up and a beautiful rainbow appeared over the town of Genoa.
I am very happy with these two shots, but I can't decide which one I like better. What do you think? Do you like A) the wider angle shot with the big tree in the foreground, or B) the more zoomed in shot that shows a better view of the town? I want to print up a big one for the gallery, thank you for your help in deciding which one...
A)
B)
Both of these images were shot with a Canon 5DS R and a 24-105mm lens. A polarizing filter was used on the lens in order to bring out a bit more color to the rainbow.
Thank you for looking. I hope you are all having a great day!
