I am doing very well, thank God, and very happy too, although I am recovering from a viral flu that is going around, as people say, although honestly I think it is COVID again, because of some things that don't add up for me, but anyway, thank God, I am better now. As the title of the post says, and as I mentioned in my last post on my other account, we are finally academically licensed in Psychology! What does this mean? It means that I have finally completed all the academic requirements to be licensed in psychology from my university, with the last requirement being to present my special thesis and defend it before the jury, which is what this post will be about. I won't lie to you, I can classify this last process as one of the most stressful and demanding for me in my seven years of university studies (note that it's five years, but for reasons beyond my control, it turned into seven years), in which it took me a long time to finish my special thesis and then prepare for the defense. Although in my last post I talked a little bit about it from a cathartic perspective, focused mostly on the negative, this time I want to talk about my preparation and, of course, the end result. When you are at this point, having already completed your internships and with only the presentation of your thesis and the defense remaining, you only have a few things to think about: future corrections, the pre-defense, preparations for the defense, and what you are going to wear. And believe it or not, the last two things take time, especially if you are alone or have decided to do your thesis alone, as in my case.

Okay, you can opt for something simple, especially if your financial resources are limited, and that won't necessarily influence your grade, or at least it shouldn't, but in my opinion, doing an undergraduate degree for the first time is a unique experience, so, being aware of my limitations, I decided to make it presentable but within my budget. The first thing I did was ask my girlfriend @kiutvariedades for help, because there were things I didn't understand about the decoration or the preparations for the defense, ha ha ha. So she explained to me that the folders, the handouts, and other things that are given to the jury are made by stationery stores. In my case, at least with the judges, I was grateful, as they helped me a lot by giving me the opportunity to correct my special thesis, giving me a week to make the arduous corrections and thus be able to present my work for the defense, They were always willing to answer my questions during that week if I didn't understand the corrections, so the least I could do was give them a small gift. Now, preferably, and for aesthetic reasons, I gave them the gifts after the defense, after the verdict. Now, it's funny that I decided that the gifts for my judges would be the same in price, but different in terms of the particularity and taste of each one. For example, I gave one a bottle of Santa Teresa rum and the other a perfume, which I was glad I decided to give at the end of the defense because it would have permeated the entire room. When I went to buy it with my girlfriend, even she wanted to keep it for herself, ha ha ha. But anyway, ironically, all of that is an investment of money, but it's reasonable and, of course, not that expensive, and it's memorable for the first time I've done an undergraduate degree, and also for the career that has cost me so many years of sweat, tears, exhaustion, and effort, but also joys along the way, so I was happy to make this expense. And well, the truth is that all of this was more than ready. What took the longest was the corrections and making my slides for the defense, which even Brenda helped me with, as you can see in one of the photos. However, one of the things I processed after my defense was the number of people who came to see me. Not only was my family here in Venezuela there, but also my best friend from college, my girlfriend, my friends from the group of people who always sat in the back, but also the professors who taught me some subjects years ago, friends I made in other semesters during my degree who are now graduates, and also friends from other degrees who came to support me. On the other hand, my phone was bursting with messages of encouragement and congratulations, which took me two days to respond to, from many people. Perhaps I don't enjoy, and I repeat, I don't enjoy the nervousness before the defense. It's a tense moment that lasts until the 30 minutes are up and you've presented everything you've done during your thesis. After that, the rest is enjoyable, and in my case, I enjoyed this moment more than the grade, but rather the company I had from all those who appreciate me. Without a doubt, I couldn't have ended my slideshow with a better phrase than "The force will be with you always." Cómo dice el título del post, y como les comenté en mi último post de mi otra cuenta, finalmente somos académicamente licenciados en Psicología!!, que quiere decir esto ? Que por fin acabe de manera académica, toda la carga y requisitos que necesito para ser licenciado en psicología de mi universidad, con el último requisito de presentar mi trabajo especial de grado y defenderlo ante el jurado, lo cual de esto se tratará este post. No les mentire, este último proceso puedo catalogarlo dentro de lo más estresantes y demandantes para mí, en mis 7 años de estudios en la universidad (ojo, son 5, pero por cuestiones ajenas a mi, se convirtieron en 7 años), en que me consumió mucho tiempo terminar mi trabajo especial de grado, y luego prepararme para la defensa, aunque ya en mi último post les hable un poco desde la catarsis, más que todo enfocado en lo negativo, está vez les quiero hablar centrado en mi preparación y por supuesto en el final Cuando estás en este punto, de ya culminar pasantías, y solo tener pendiente la presentación de la tesis, más la defensa, solo tienes pocas cosas en que pensar, las futuras correcciones, la pre-defensa, los preparativos de la defensa y que vas a usar. Y aunque no lo crean, las últimas dos cosas, llevan y quitan tiempo, sobre todo si estás solo o decidiste hacer la tesis solo, como en mi caso.

Que okey, uno puede optar por algo sencillo sobre todo si los recursos económicos son limitados y que indistintamente eso no va a influir o no debería al menos hacerlo, en la nota, pero en mi criterio, hacer un pre-grado por primera vez, es una experiencia única, claro, siendo consciente de mis limitaciones, decidí adecuarlo a algo presentable pero ajustado a mi presupuesto. Lo primero que hice fue pedirle ayuda a mi novia a @kiutvariedades, porque había cosas que no entendía de la decoración o de los preparativos de la defensa jajaja. Entonces ella me explico que lo que eran las carpetas, los habladores, y otras cosas que se le entregan a los jurados, lo hacen las papelerías. Entonces por misma recomendación de ella, mandé a hacer mi papelería en esta [empresa online](https://www.instagram.com/aj.colorful?igsh=YjV4eG53MTc5YjV5) que no les mentire que tuve desconfianza pero no por nada personal ni nada parecido, sino que no estoy acostumbrado a comprar en tiendas digitales y por instagram. Ahora bien, preferiblemente y es algo más estético, se los entregué después de la defensa, post el veredicto. Ahora bien, es gracioso que yo decidí que los regalos de mis jurados fuesen igual en el precio, pero en distinto por la particularidad y gusto de cada uno, por ejemplo a uno le regale una botella de Ron Santa Teresa y a la otra le regale un Perfume que menos mal decidí darlo al final de la defensa porque impregnaria todo el salón, y cuando lo fui a comprar con mi novia, hasta ella misma se lo quería quedar para si jajaja. Pero bueno, irónicamente todo eso es inversión de dinero, pero ajustado y por supuesto tampoco tan elevado, siendo memorable para la primera vez que hago un pre-grado, y además para la carrera que tantos años me ha costado, sudor, lágrimas, agotamiento, esfuerzo, pero también alegrías en el camino, así que con mucho gusto hice este gasto. Quizás no disfrute y lo repito, no disfruto el proceso de los nervios antes de la defensa, es momento tenso que dura hasta que pasan los 30min en que sueltas todo lo que has hecho durante la tesis, después de allí, lo demás, si se disfruta, y en mi caso, me disfrute este momento más que la calificación, sino la compañía que tuve de todo los que me aprecian.
