It's been a crazy last 36 hours. My time has been wrapped around work. Yesterday I had to get up at 3:30 a.m. to be into work at 4:30 to work an aircraft download. I ended up working a straight 8 hour shift instead of taking OT (Overtime). After the shift I decided to to do some delivery driving. I did that until about 8:30 p.m. Once home, I relaxed a little bit until I had to take my son into work, he works an over night shift. I got in the bed at about 10:15 and was out as soon as my head hit the pillow, haha.

Today I got up at about 5:30 a.m. my normal wake up time. I took some coffee ☕️ than headed to pick up my son from work at 7:00 a.m. I thought about taking a little nap after that but was weiry of sleeping through alarm because I had to be at work at 10:00. Probably good I didn't because I got a phone call around 8:45 saying the aircraft slipped and our new show time would be 11:00. Well worked about 3 hours than afterwards was feeling hungry.

The plan was to eat and than hang out at a park for awhile.before going back to work at 6:00 p.m. Not far from my work is a small Koreon Grill. I got a simple combo. Beef Bulgogi, steamed rice, noodle, potato and two sides of kimchi. I ate the egg roll but left the crab rangoon.

Well on the way to the park I passed a place that serves ice cream. Well it's in a building that looks like a barn can't go wrong with that right? Plus I worked hard and need to work again so ice cream sounded like a good idea.

Well its a grill and chill resturant like Dairy Queen but not franchised. The food is actually better than Dairy Queen but I didnt eat again but have here in the past. They have a good Pork Tenderloin sandwich that they use to claim being the best in the area. Well its not and maybe one day I will share with you who I think does. You can either go in or get it to go because they have a drive thru. This place is located in Bellevue, Nebraska and is called Dairy Twist.

Here's the ice cream menu. I automatically focused in on the sweet specialities area. I did ask the clerk what there best seller was but she answered that they run out of about everything. I than focused on three things on the speciality area. They were: the Carmel Fudge Parfait,Rocky Road Sundae and the Strawberry Shortcake. I let the clerk know of my dilemma and they responded by saying I love making the Carmel Fudge Parfait. So why not, I mean it would be made with love right?

Here we go I think I bave a crush on it. Every bite was delicious and addictive. A simple desert to create. Just layer Carmel and fudge sauce with vanilla soft serve seperating the two. Don't forget to drop some nuts on each layer. At the end add some whip cream. It didn't take the clerk long to make and not long for me to say good bye to my crush.

Here is a sign that is very fitting for my experience. I did in fact, get soft served. Hey I could dread going into work twice on Saturday but the highlight is the ice cream I had today. Ice cream separated the day for me 😋

My overall experience of the place is probably a solid 7 out 10. The decor is kind of dated but hey sometimes these type of places serve the best foods or ice creams in this case. The good ole hole in the walls can be deceiving. They do have a nice outdoor area to enjoy on good weather days. I used my eating here in the past as part of my rating. The ice cream experience was a high 9 though.

Well this wraps up another blog of mine. Have to get into the work frame of mind now. I did make it to the park and now getting ready to leave .

Take care, be safe and have an Ice Cream! Until next time!
