Hello, beer lovers! 🍻

It's a hot first Saturday in September, and I'm taking it easy. At the moment, I have nothing better to do than taste beer for 427 #beersaturday.

I have two chilled German cans, and when I finish them, I will be happy to share my experience with you.

Käuzle Helles Lager

Brewed by Kauzen-Bräu, Ochsenfurt, Bayern, Germany. Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 5.2% ABV, IBU N/A. Helles lager style.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Pale yellow, clear filtered, white, firm foam. Delicate grassy notes, a hint of meadow flowers and hay. The first sip reveals a sweetness that matches the beer style. Delicate hop bitterness accompanies the aftertaste and plays with the cereal flavours for a long time.

The beer is a cloudy, yellow color with a lot of foam that quickly settles. It has no particular aroma. It goes down quickly, and I taste a slight sweetness in my mouth that turns sour. No bitterness, no aroma. Everything disappears in the aftertaste.

I'm not sure, it looks pretty sour to me. I don't like it. I hope it's not spoiled. I'll know soon enough if it is.

Both of today's beers are from Kalea Beer Box, which I got at my local Hofer store. There are eleven different beers in the box, so that it will last for a while :)

The first one was terrible, I hope the second one will be better.

Kuchlbauer Alte Liebe

Brewed by Weissbierbrauer Kuchlbauer, Abensberg, Bayern, Germany. Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 5.2% ABV, IBU N/A. Dunkelweizen - dark wheat beer.

Alte Liebe is specially brewed with dark malts and fermented and matured in the bottle using top-fermenting yeast according to traditional methods. Brewed in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law.

The beer is dark brown in color, with average foam that quickly dissipates. It has a slight banana aroma. It goes down smoothly, and I can taste the sweetness and bitterness of roasted malt, bread, caramel, and banana. Only a slight bitterness lingers in the aftertaste for a while.

A very drinkable and tasty beer! For a dark beer, it has very balanced and delicate flavors, nothing extreme. As I mentioned, I received it in the Kalea Beer Box; otherwise, it's not sold here. I would have another one right away if I had it.
