Hello Hive! I was feeling a bit lonely today, so I was scrolling through my gallery — and check it out! It made me so happy to find these beautiful memories.
You know, in October I will leave Hong Kong to begin a new, exciting chapter of my life: going back to the Philippines to start my food selling business. Sometimes life as a domestic helper was not easy, especially when my employer's kids were still very young and kept me awake at night. But would you believe it? Now that I am leaving soon, I realize that there are also so many beautiful memories associated with my time in Hong Kong. I will miss Hong Kong's nature and its many beautiful places, miss the big house I lived in for 14 years(!), miss my employers who always treated me fairly, even if the work was sometimes hard, and I will especially miss their kids, with whom I spent more time than with my own son...
These kids that I took care of were so small in these old pictures, and they look so happy. Now they are already big kids, taller than me! Time flies so fast.
I am happy to have been a part of their lives. They are always in my heart, wherever I am. They are such adorable kids.
Anyway, these photos were taken here in Hong Kong at a farm on the Kowloon side, way back in 2019. They had a lot of animals, like rabbits, snakes, and so many more... Look at these kids; they look so happy. I was so happy to take these beautiful photos of them.
Don't wonder why everybody is wearing a mask in every pic. It was the time when the COVID-19 era began, and wearing a mask was obligatory at the time.
What above all made the children happy were the different kinds of cute and fascinating animals in the farm - especially of course the rabbits.
A cute guinea pig.
A rare albino hedgehog.
Doesn't that impressive iguana look like a real dragon?
These kids are really so curageous!
A huge millipede.
Let's have a little adventure on the river, hehe!
