Becoming a Dolphin is something I never expected, nor was it something I had set as a goal in the three years I’ve been writing on Hive. Over the past few months, I simply focused on building myself up and letting go of the burdens I carried. I reflected on my space here, the reason I’m in this ecosystem, the mark I can leave, and the path I’ve chosen to walk.

This ecosystem and my blog on Hive have allowed me to learn and value myself. Above all, they have reshaped my way of thinking, showing me that we can build possibilities through our convictions. I’m not here to change you; I’m here to build my own path as a person. I’m 28 years old, and I’m showing you a side of myself—a circumstantial facet.

Is it easy to become a Dolphin on Hive by creating content? The answer depends on you and what you want to achieve in this ecosystem. I haven’t been using my rewards for months now; I feel that at the moment, they won’t make much of a difference. Still, they are helping to build something here. And what is that construction? My story.

I created my blog under the pseudonym Neruel to write literature and express my values and convictions in my own space. Along the way, I’ve met wonderful people with strong ideals. If you know me, you know who I am, even though you haven’t seen me act much from a technical or professional standpoint—that’s another story.

This year, the @worldmappin team has given me endless support. I’m deeply grateful for the embrace they’ve given me, but also for showcasing every journey I’ve taken in Venezuela. Venezuela is a beautiful country—wounded, but destined to be reborn. It will be reborn through people who want a different path and future. There are many interesting things in this blog and in the path I’ve taken. I’ve stayed authentic; I dislike problems and shady dealings. I’m writing this to make something clear—you can be a professional and a traveler, creator, film critic, blogger, photographer, writer, poet, artist, and even an otaku. Yes, I’m a big otaku, even if I don’t look like one. :P

Something that has helped me these past months is my financial independence—running my own business and taking responsibility for my finances. Without this, it would be very difficult not to use my rewards. I understand the complex economic situation in Venezuela: hyperinflation, the depreciation of the dollar, $1 monthly wages, and unemployment. For a Venezuelan, it’s very hard to retain or build stake on Hive.

Building an account is a long-term vision. You also need to work on building solid trust—evaluating and creating strategies that connect with people. It’s not about posting trash or chasing trends; it’s about sharing what you love. For example, writing a review on Movies TV Shows satisfies me.

I love manhwa; it’s my hobby. It makes me happy to read posts in the small The Anime Realm community when no one else was doing it. We are the footprint, the foundation of what’s possible and transformative. You just need values—you have to keep going, be insanely persistent, and stay disciplined (pardon the strong language).

Another project I owe a lot to is @curangel. Along with their team of curators, they’ve helped my account grow. Writing this reminded me of the iconic @cervantes, who used to vote on my posts with zero rewards after 24 hours had passed. I came from an ecosystem where I was blacklisted, and here, everyone welcomed me without asking questions.

Building an account is hard, but it depends on you. This year I set many goals: writing every day for 31 days, making it to the trending page, showing everyone that Venezuela has beautiful places, and writing about my interests. Yes, there are many things I haven’t done—things I owe to this blog and to myself. Still, this is what has brought me here.
