Friday, September 8, 2023 - Infinity 3G - 60 minutes
E = Endurance S = Strength P = Power
It's Dri-Tri season at Orangetheory Fitness and to be honest, my wife Tiffany and I have been Orangetheory members for about 17 years combined. I begin my tenth year this upcominuteg February. I introduced Tiffany to Orangetheory a year and few months later.
We haven't considered doing the Dri-Tri especially the last few years with the physical issues we had encountered not to mention the pandemic interruption.
With that said, as members everyone who goes to a session will participate in the Dri-Tri classes as it may be the template of the day.
This past Saturday, it was the 2000 meter row challenge, this past Tuesday was the Tread challenge and today was the Infinity which was the floor work that is essentially the body weight part of the Dri-Tri.
On the day of the Dri-Tri it's a massive challenge to do all three challenges in one session to get your name up in orange lights.
Tiffa and I worked out with the 5am crew at the home studio, OTF Nona North and Coach Mariah happily managed us through this morning's Infinity template.

Back to today's workout.
My effort will always be at 100%, but my output may not match up. I put in work and although I would have wanted to be much more productive I showed up and never quit.
Got over 500 calories burned with 542.
No dumbbell usage on the floor work but we did use Med Balls with the row work and I went with the highest weighted medicine ball in that studio at 15 pounds.
I hit 402 WATTS OF POWER during my rowing with a high of 13 mile per hour rowing speed.
My Infinity personal rowing record is 2321 meters and I was way off that today with 1988. I hit my PR with Coach Elise at OTF Nona South back on March 8th during the Transformation Challenge so I was extra motivated.
Today, with Coach Mariah I fell short of 2K but I felt good overall and didn't beat myself up over it too much.
Because today's Infinity template was a 3G format, we only spent about 14 minutes in each area so not as long as we are accustomed to and I did run 1.65 miles in 15 1/2 minutes with 14 minutes during the template's block.
The Work:
Row Block - 14 minutes
• Reset monitor
• Repeat until last minuteute: • 100 meter ALL OUT row • 20 medicine ball power jacks • Each round deduct 2 off the rep until you get to 2 reps and then back up again • 1 minute ALL OUT row • Record distance
Floor Block - 14 minutes circuit
• 40 bench hop overs • 20 bench tap squats • 20 full step ups, each side • 20 push ups • 20 low plank jacks • 10 burpees • Repeat until finisher
I got into the third round and the challenge was to do two round as fast as possible. I was around the 10 minute plus mark. Definitely have done better, but I really did these making sure I didn't reinjure myself because I want to continue my mostly consistent workout streak this year. I've had a solid 2023 with my workouts.
FINISHER/Member’s choice of: • 1 minute of bench hop overs OR • 1 minute of bench tap squats OR • 1 minute of full step ups OR • 1 minute of push ups OR • 1 minute of low plank jacks OR • 1 minute of burpees
I cut my losses and did the bench tap squats lol.
Tread Block
• 3 minute push • 1 minute base • 2.5 minute push • 1 minute base • 2 minute push • 1 minute base • 90 second push • 1 minute base • 1 minute ALL OUT
