Haremos un viaje más al pasado musical y nos dirigiremos una vez más a los 90s específicamente a 1997 año donde fue creada una de las herramientas más polémicas de la producción musical. Hablo de uno de los software que llegó al mundo para quedarse. Me refiero al famoso Auto-Tune. Si propósito inicial era simple, corregir discretamente las imprecisiones de tono en las grabaciones vocales. Lo que se suponía era el retoque final, el arma secreta de los estudios de grabación. Una herramienta que haría que la postproducción se pudiera realizar mucho más rápido.

Una de las canciones que popularizó está herramienta denominada Auto-Tune fue la famosa y clásica canción de Cher "Believe" los productores llevaron esta herramienta al máximo extremo consiguiendo el famoso efecto que hoy conocemos como el Efecto Cher. El mismo se logra gracias a una configuración mucho más allá de lo que el software o herramienta estaba diseñada para ayudar creando el efecto robótico y artificial que conocemos. Lo que llevó al Auto-Tune a hacer un recurso creativo y de identidad sonora.

Para seguir necesito que recordemos juntos está clásica canción llamada "Believe" la cual sacudió al mundo en 1998 con ese característico diferente sonido. Lo curioso es que les aseguro que mucho no sabían que el término del Efecto Cher viene específicamente por esta creación musical de 1998 así que bueno, recordemos esta obra para seguir avanzando.

Después de haber escuchado esta clásica canción seguimos avanzando aunque esta vez no es tanto así, más bien nos dirigiremos un poco más atrás de 1997 año donde se crea esta polémica herramienta para la música. Es interesante pues en mi opinión, los artistas mucho antes de conocer el Auto-Tune tenían que ser prácticamente perfectos dado el hecho que sus actuaciones, presentación o grabaciones en estudio tenían que ser precisos y eso a mí parecer hacía que el artista natural debiera estudiar y esforzarse mucho más en su nivel como cantante. En pocas palabras, hoy en día el cantante sabe que existe un software que puede corregir cualquier error. Simplemente, ya no existe esa exigencia por parte del artista o los mismos productores.

En mi opinión personal el Auto-Tune es un instrumento más, igual que la guitarra eléctrica o los sintetizadores que revolucionaron su tiempo, el Auto-Tune es solo otro instrumento y la culpa no es de la herramienta, sino de cómo se usa. No cabe duda que está lejos de desaparecer más bien todo lo contrario, se ha consolidado como un pilar de la producción moderna. Y eso en verdad no está mal y es donde repito que el problema no es la herramienta o el software si no la manera en como lo usan.

Lo que sí puedo decir es que definitivamente el nivel de los cantantes nuevos es muy por debajo de los que conocíamos en años antes de que este curioso software apareciera y eso lo podemos ver fácilmente en los artistas urbanos de hoy en día. En fin, el tema del famoso Auto-Tune es como una vez le dije al productor con el que trabajo en mi proyecto musical, esto es un tema largo y extendido ja ja ja... Escuchemos ahora algunos clásicos donde los cantantes era de altura porque si no, no entraban en el mundo de la música pues como les mencioné más arriba, los niveles de exigencia eran mucho mayor y si no me lo creen, recordemos con estas clásicas e inolvidables canciones lo interesante que era ver a un cantante en su máxima expresión artística.
