I Understand - Mabel Wayne (Cover) by @yisusth

A cordial greeting to this beautiful #Music community. I am pleased to share my trumpet performance of "I Understand," a popular song composed by Mabel Wayne and James Kimball "Kim" Gannon. My favorite version is Nat King Cole's, and I've enjoyed versions by Dinah Washington and Jimmy Dorsey. The lyrics speak of what it feels like to be broken up, and of resignation, although it is admittedly difficult to forget. The melody is beautiful, lyrical, and smooth with long phrases. The original key is likely F Major, in my case the performer is G Major. The rhythm is in 4/4 time, with a gentle swing. This piece is a 1941 standard and has common characteristics of the "Tin Pan Alley" genre of that era. I love that type of music, and it reminds me of big band jazz.

Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «I Understand», una canción popular compuesta por Mabel Wayne y James Kimball "Kim" Gannon. Mi versión favorita es la de Nat King Cole y he tenido la oportunidad de disfrutar versiones como las de Dinah Washington y Jimmy Dorsey. La letra habla sobre lo que se siente en una ruptura, y de resignación, aunque se admite que será difícil olvidarla. La melodía es hermosa, lirica, y suave con frases largas. Es probable que la tonalidad original sea F Mayor, en mi caso la interpreto en G Mayor. El ritmo está dentro de un compás de 4/4, con un swing suave. Esta pieza es un estándar de 1941, y tiene características comunes del género "Tin Pan Alley" de esa época. Me encanta ese tipo de música y me recuerda a las grandes bandas de Jazz.

When it comes to creating content, things don't always go as expected. This afternoon, I recorded this song, and when I went to edit it, I discovered the file was corrupted. Since I had to teach a class, I didn't record it again right away. After the class, I started recording again. I was just worried that the camera battery would run out. Once I recorded it in one take, I downloaded the video and started editing it. I discovered that part of the camera lens had fogged up, which is why my face looks blurry. Recording it again would take longer because I have to charge the battery, clean the lens, and edit my work. So, I hope you'll excuse the image quality. I'll be changing my laptop and cell phone soon; that will help me improve my content. Beyond the image, I hope you enjoy the quality of my performance.

Cuando se trata de realizar contenido, no siempre las cosas salen como uno espera. En la tarde grabé este tema y cuando fui a editar descubrí que el archivo estaba dañado. Como tenia que dar clases no lo grabe nuevamente de inmediato. Luego de la clase, comencé a grabarlo otra vez. Solo tenia la preocupación de que la cámara tendría la batería agotada. Una vez que lo grabe en una sola toma, descargue el video y me propuse a editarlo. Me encontré que en parte del lente de la cámara se había empañado y por eso se ve borroso en mi cara. Grabarlo otra vez me tomaría mas tiempo, porque me toca cargar la batería, limpiar el lente y editar el trabajo. Así que espero me disculpen la calidad de la imagen. Próximamente cambiare de laptop y de celular, eso me ayudara a mejorar mi contenido. Mas allá de la imagen, espero que disfruten la calidad de mi interpretación.
