One of the moments I enjoy most in music is recording. Unlike live performance, where the expressive capacity of the moment is measured, the mastery of what you do, of your instrument or voice. But in recording, perfection is sought to the maximum, it is the moment to verify all those musical ideas that were in the mind and start to shape them.
For that reason, at the moment of recording you will always see the total seriousness of the whole team involved. Of course, joy is also present, but that's mostly at the end. The intermissions are also good to laugh while you de-stress from the tension that occurs during the recording.
Right now I'm in the process of releasing a new song and these takes correspond to the first thing that is recorded, which is always the percussion, in Latin music. Of course, a guide voice has to be recorded as well, so that the musicians can clearly identify the parts.
Here we see the recording of the bongo, congas and timbal.

Uno de los momentos que yo más disfruto en la música, es la grabación. A diferencia de la actuación en vivo, donde se mide la capacidad expresiva del momento, el dominio de lo que haces, de tu instrumento o de la voz. Pero en la grabación se busca la perfección al máximo, es el momento de ir verificando todas esas ideas musicales que estaban en la mente y empezar a plasmarlas.
Por esa razón, al momento de grabar siempre vas a ver la seriedad total en todo el equipo que participa. Por supuesto, la alegría también se hace presente, pero eso es sobre todo al final. Los intermedios también son buenos para reír mientras te desestresas de la tensión que se produce durante la grabación.
Ahorita estoy en vías de sacar un tema nuevo y estas tomas corresponden a lo primero que se graba, que siempre es la percusión, en la música latina. Por supuesto, también hay que grabar una voz guía, para que los músicos identifiquen claramente las partes.
