This year's yacht show in Nafplio passed without any interest at my end. Actually I saw it only as a metal fence along my walk on the pier and a wall of boats, blocking my view.
Do I sound like a grumpy old guy, complaining about everything?
The truth is that I never was a yachting enthusiast. Nevertheless, last year a made a stroll in the exhibition to take a few photos and I wrote this post. As any gathering of people, it gives plenty of shooting opportunities but this year I wasn't in the mood, not even for that.
The world has changed massively those past twelve months and I have become more intolerant of shameless displays of wealth. So I preferred to stay outside the fence and amuse myself with the picture of the extravagant yachts behind the garbage bins :)
As for shooting opportunities there are plenty of them in the town itself. And even more under the lovely morning sun and with all the spring blooming around me! I don't know who decided to plant those flowering trees at the streets and the parks of the town but I thank him/her very much. Their beauty makes my day, every morning!
I wonder if I would keep walking every day if it wasn't for the dog. Probably not. I guess I would do more photo walks but the camera doesn't look me in the eyes every single morning wagging its tail :)
And at some point I would get bored to take pictures at the same routes every day, without the "thrills" that our black canine companion offers us, wouldn't I?
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, that has been left in your part of the world and have a nice week ahead! I sure will, as long as the temperature in Greece remains in reasonable levels, before the summer hit us for good :)
