The chicken coop apart from fresh eggs, it has also given me unexpectedly lot of joy. Those little feathered creatures are much more complex and interesting than I original though and I was surprised to see that after a while I started noticing the differences in their character. It was an even bigger surprise when I caught myself spending time in the coop, just watching them and actually enjoying it :)
But in the almost three years that I deal with poultry, there is one day that I will never forget. We are a few friends that we have the chicken coop and none of us knew anything about it. In the beginning, even finding the eggs was an everyday adventure. We were wondering why we don't have more eggs but as I said, we didn't know much. Anyway one day I went to feed them and I noticed that behind a hen there is a little chick! And another one, and another one, and another one...
Lol! Eight new chicks and I was still searching for the eggs! Those sneaky little bastards had tricked us all for good. They even had a proper scheme. They found their secret place and one by one laid their eggs there while we were going back and forth at the plot, like idiots! But I was so much happy that I couldn't get mad at them. And the chicks were so cute :)
Of course the next day I was there with my camera and I kept chasing them for hours! Fortunately when you have food it is easy to lure them but still they kept running away from me! It was a slightly ridiculous shooting but I enjoyed it a lot. I have shared some pictures from that shooting in this post but I thought that those ones was a petty not to be published too!
All the pictures and the words are mine.
