This is not the first time I have visited these parts of the beaches on the northern shore of Estonia. A couple of years ago, in the spring, I also took a walk there and it's especially nice to do it in the springtime since the reeds and vegetation is not yet overgrown, so I can see the views. These photos were taken in May this year.
Winter storms cut down the reeds in this area, and these start to grow again when spring comes. Other than that, it's mostly a sandy beach there.
Some massive boulders mixed in.
Here you can clearly see the cut-down reeds that have started to grow again, but are still very short.
A small peninsula with a tiny patch of reeds in the middle, that have evaded destruction in the winter.
I feel like I just took those photos, but it was in May. The summer was just starting, bright and warm times ahead. Now it's already the second half of August. Time moves so fast, it's crazy.
I haven't been back there since that day, but I am pretty sure that most of these views are not there currently due to the overgrowth of the reed masses.
