Back on the 1st of July, I wanted to go somewhere and use my evening for a walk in somewhere nice. Since the sunset had the potential to be beautiful that evening, I wanted to go for a walk on the beach.
I decided to drive about 20 minutes from my home to a place called Meremõisa RMK beach. This is a state-maintained camping area, and there is also a nice beach. When I arrived there, I noticed that the wind was very strong, like very strong, and pretty cold too. This wind, unfortunately, brings a sea-level rise and that resulted in the beach not being there. All the sandy areas were underwater, so I couldn't walk on it.
I just took a couple of photos of the surrounding views.
I liked the clouds up in the sky. A thin dotted sheet on one side.
The reeds.
I love taking photos, but being stationary that evening was not my plan, and I still wanted to have some steps in. I went to the seaside forest and walked along a path that led to all the seaside camping spots. The lighting in the forest was really nice. I have camped there several times over the years.
I happened to see something special that evening too. A massive comet that left a long, bright trail and actually came really close to land. There were even news articles that told about this comet flying above Finland and it exploded with a large boom in the air. Nothing reached on land, fortunately. And I happened to look in the right spot at the right time. I don't have a photo of it because I didn't take a photo at this exact time. To me, it seemed like a burning airplane falling from the sky. I took this photo about 20 seconds before that happened.
