Graffiti Hunter ( in Habana Vieja) [ es-en ]

Walking around Old Havana or Central Havana can be crazy. 😵😜

I, for example, avoid walking on the sidewalks, for fear of a balcony collapsing, so I prefer to walk on the street, because at least the cars and bike riders warn you, the balconies don't. 😳

That makes it a tremendous up and down from the sidewalk to the street and from the street to the sidewalk to give way to some "antojao" vehicle (which appears when it is least convenient) 😅. Then, add to that, wanting to take pictures of the different graffiti that we are going to find in these places. Watch out that no one passes by and suddenly snatches your cell phone, that the lady walking the dog stops yelling at the neighbor while walking and looks ahead, because she is about to collide with the garbage can that is almost on top of her. You are trying to avoid being run over by a wheelbarrow full of fruit or being hit by water (in the best case scenario) or by a cigarette thrown from a balcony?

Anyway, it's not as simple as walking and taking pictures... at least not in this city.

But despite the challenge, ha... laugh if you want, it's a real challenge! I was able to take these images of walls that vibrate with color and that don't let you see the deterioration in the foreground, because there they are, many times transmitting a message of joy and color, others making you think as if it were a philosophy text.

Every street I walked down, I found a new piece of artwork....( I also found love messages from a guy to his girlfriend who got tired of putting up with his stuff, apparently. There were quite a few of these, and drawings that could hardly be called street art....)

Some of the Cuban graffiti artists have a prolific body of work that you can see on their sites, such as Mr. MYL or Fabián (2+2=5?).

So now I leave you with these colorful works that I found in my super mega dangerous tour around Habana Vieja and Centro Habana. 😜

Cazadora de grafitis

Andar por La Habana Vieja o Centro Habana, puede llegar a ser una locura. Yo, por ejemplo, evito caminar por las aceras, por temor algún derrumbe de un balcón, así que ando preferiblemente por la calle, porque al menos los carros y los bicicleteros te avisan, los balcones no.

Eso hace que sea un sube y baja tremendo de la acera a la calle y de la calle a la acera para dar paso a algún vehículo "antojao" ( que aparece cuando menos conviene) 😅. Entonces, súmale a eso, querer hacer fotos a los distintos graffitis que nos vamos a encontrar en estos lugares. Vigila que no pase nadie y te arrebate el móvil de repente, que la señora que pasea al perro deje de hablar a gritos con la vecina mientras camina y mire hacia delante, porque está a punto de chocar con el latón de basura que tiene casi encima. Intentas , que no te arrolle una carretilla llena de frutas o te caiga encima el agua ( en el mejor de los casos) o el cigarro que arrojen desde un balcón...

En fin, que la cosa no va tan simple como caminar y hacer fotos... al menos No en esta ciudad. Pero a pesar del reto, ja... ríete si quieres, es un reto de verdad! Pude tomar estas imágenes de paredes que vibran de color y que no te dejan ver el deterioro en primer plano, porque allí están ellas, muchas veces transmitiendo un mensaje de alegría y color, otras poniéndote a pensar como si de y un texto de filosofía fuera.

Cada calle que recorría, encontraba una nueva obra, también encontraba mensajes de amor de un fulano a la novia que se cansó de aguantarle sus cosas al parecer. De estos habían unos cuantos, y dibujos que difícilmente pueda llamársele arte callejero...

Algunos seguramente no gustarán de esto (el arte callejero, no los mensajes públicos dichos a destiempo 😅), pero a mí ¡Me encanta! Algunos de los grafiteros cubanos tienen una prolífica obra que puedes ver en sus sitios, como por ejemplo Mr. MYL o Fabián (2+2=5?) Así que ahora te dejo con esas obras llenas de colorido que encontré en mi súper mega peligroso recorrido por Habana Vieja y Centro Habana. 😜
