It has gotten very busy at work which is the reason I have been very inconsistent with posts recently. I've got a bit of a breather today and thought of sharing this moment of my walk in Motueka in June with you.
For those that remember I was caught in the Motueka flooding recently in June and was trapped and couldn't travel back to Christchurch.
I was stucked and stayed in Motueka Gardens Motel for two extra days so I went for a walk at Motueka Quay and found the Janie Seddon Shipwreck.
We are looking at a ship that was built in 1901 from what I gathered on the internet.
It was initially intended for submarine mining vessel, and on a later fishing. It didn’t do well as a fishing ship.
I also read that it sank in 1953 during when it was stripped of any useful fittings.
And since then all that remained was decay of Janie Seddon and rust attracting photographers from all works of life. Janie Seddon managed to attract me for shots 📸 even in a wrecked state.
