Their temporary home, as they flew down to visit us for 7 days. 005 F.jpg

I like to post current events and views in my daily posts, as it prevents a stale output.

We have not seen my wife's parents for the past 8 years, and it was wonderful to see them again. They live far up north in the country and decided to fly down for a visit. Something like, if Moses won't come to the mountain, then the mountain will come to Moses. Lol. In any case, we made sure that they had a good time, and we took them around to show them some of my favorite spots where I go to take photos. Fortunately, the weather was not too bad, only cold at night and rain on one day. I told you that we are entering the winter season, and the cape is a winter rainfall area. Amazingly, just over the nearby mountains, it is all summer rainfall areas, and that's why one of the reasons that the apple farms produce such high-quality apples, is because the trees sleep well in the cold. The apples are exported to many countries, and the brands are famous. Let's get back to the road trip.

As we rounded a corner in the town, some residents were taking a stroll. 010.JPG

These two pedestrians had to make a quick move to the sidewalk in order to get away from our car. Of course I slowed down, as over here we respect the right of way of all pedestrians. 014.JPG

Just a last look at this crowd, and they were quite a big family as there were also some others further back. 015.JPG

I took this on the way back, after dropping the folks at their temporary home. 001.JPG

Just some lovely shots of that mountain that you saw in the first picture. 003.JPG

And finally, this is a shot below of the nearly full moon. 024.JPG

The reason for our not seeing the in laws for 8 years, was that we relocated Papillon down to the Western Cape, and we were in full time activities to establish Papillon down here. So many things took place during those 8 years, and it kept us busy full time. We also had to move several times, which didn't make things any easier. You have seen the first spot that we visited in one of the previous posts (paragliding), and I will show you some other places that we visited with the in laws soon.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
