The last month has been very hot and dry, making many the waterfalls in the area very dry. But after a day and night of rain, I thought there would be a good chance of water flow at the Devil's Punchbowl in Stoney Creek Ont.
I crossed some train tracks and made my way on to the trail.
To find a stagnate puddle and a dry creek bed.
Disappointed but not dismayed, and came to where the over 100 foot tall waterfall usually is. Having no water at all, the beautiful rock formations left in full view.
This is a waterfall that I have climbed halfway up the rock wall beside it, climbed the ice mound 3/4 of the way to the top of the cliff in the winter, and taken photos from almost every angle possible (even shot a solar eclipse here). Except one, from the base where the water hits the ground. So I immediately stood right where the water usually falls and started snapping away. Looking straight up, at the rock walls etc.

I stepped back out and admired the beauty for a few more minutes.
Despite no water flow, nature never disappoints!
