Backgrounds...

Dry seedpods and decay. Two of my favorite subjects to work with, specially in black and white.

The one bellow is a Hibiscus seedpod. Frankly I don't remember where it was shot. They are so common around here that it is easy to get confused with these fellas.

As always I tried to get the darkest background possible, to enhance the contrast between my little "model" and its surroundings.

I also used a pinhole filter in post production, already after the black and white conversion.

I don't have the slightest idea about what the next one is. A mysterious wild flower already decaying.

Apparently it was tied up with a web, by some naughty spider that thought it would be a great place to set her trap on.

Once again I tried to get the darkest background possible, but this time there was too much light shinning on the grass and branches behind it, which created a lot more distractions than in the previous image.
