Hello, readers,
Ever so often, you come across a person who best mirrors a warrior not the kind who carries swords or shields, but a kind who fights through everyday battles.
That's how i live. My name is Hyacint Veraque. Many people can't pronounced my name so it's okay for me to called "hya , yanyan my nickname and of course Sydneygirl " my Ig username. I am a warrior of studies, emotions of dreams, and of the little struggles that describe me into who I am today. I am 20 years old, and I am now in my third year of college, studying Psychology. Psychology is the study of how people think and feel, and I chose this because I want to understand people better and also about myself. I believe that when i understand others, i can also help them through listening to them. For me, learning about the mind is not just interesting it is something that gives me a reason and purpose of what's life it is.

I grew up in a small town, the Bogo City, Cebu a place where my neighbors greet each other where family and friends are always close. The father God and my family they're my greatest support. They encourage me to continue even when my studies feel stress. My friends are always there to share memories and even serious talks about life.

Since I was a kid, I have always been curious about why people do some bad things rather than good and I used to wonder why someone could be happy while another person, in the same situation, might feel sad or angry. Why some people speak loudly and others prefer to stay quiet. These questions made me choose the Psychology Course. I want to be someone who can answer not only my own questions but also help people answer theirs. My dream is to become a psychologist one day, to sit with people who are struggling, and to remind them that they are not alone. I want to make mental health something people can talk about without being shame or fear.

But of course, my life is not only about school. I also have hobbies that makes me happy. One of my favorite things is reading. I read books, stories, and sometimes even news articles. Reading is makes me imagine, dream, and learn more about the world. And also writing is like opening a window where my thoughts and feelings can come out. I write stories, reflections, or sometimes just my opinions about what is happening around me. Because i know that writing helps me clear my mind and share my own voice.
I also enjoy listening to the news on the radio like the Brigada and watching TV Patrol. I like to know what is happening in my country and in the world. When I hear the news, I think about how it affects people, especially those in my community. I do believe that being aware of what is happening makes us more responsible. I often share what I learn with my friends, and we talk about how to solve the problems in our community. These talks with actions make me realize that even small ideas can make a difference for a better future in our community.

And of course, like many people, I find comfort in music, movies, and cartoons. Music makes me feel calm and happy. Sometimes I even sing eventhough im not fully good on it , Still, it makes me smile. Movies and cartoons give me rest after long days of studying because it makes my inner child happy. It remind me that it is okay to relax and enjoy little things. Because my life is not only about working hard it is also about resting and laughing.
My story with Hive began because of @intoybugoy. He was the one who introduced the Hive to me. At first, I did not know much about it, but he explained that Hive is a community where people can write, share, and connect with one another. Out of curiosity, I tried it and I am glad I did. When I joined, I immediately felt that Hive was different. It is not just a platform where you post and then leave. It feels like a family where people support one another. Everyone seems friendly, and I could feel a sense of belonging. For someone like me, who loves to write and learn, Hive feels like the right place to grow.

I joined Hive not because there's a money on it but I want to share my ideas and learn from others. Writing has always been special to me, and Hive gives me the chance to let my words travel beyond. Here, I can write about Psychology in simple ways so that even people who do not study it can understand. Many people do not know much about mental health, and I want to help change that by writing posts that are clear and easy to read. I also want to share about news and social issues, because I believe these are things we should all think about. When people read and reflect, they may feel inspired to create an action. I also want to share my favourite travels. Every trip teaches me new lessons about people and life. Whether visiting nature, or tasting local food, I find joy in simple moments. Through Hive, I hope to capture these stories and inspire others to explore too.

I know that Hive is not only about giving but also about being part of a community. That is why I promise to not only post my own stories but also read what others write. I want to leave kind comments, encourage others, and learn from their experiences. In Hive, I want to be not only a writer but also a good and true friend.
If you ask me what I can give to Hive, I would say three things. First, I can share my knowledge from my studies about what I'll learn in psychology. I can explain ideas about the mind and feelings in ways that are simple and helpful. Second, I can share my entire reflections on current issues, encouraging people to think and care about what is happening around them. Third, I can give support. I can read, comment, and cheer for others in this community because i know that we are family .These may seem small, but I believe they can make Hive a warmer and friendlier place to all of us.
I am simply a person who loves helping others but many people says that I'm a strict one but its not. Liks at home, I help my younger siblings with their homework, watching them learn makes me proud and happy. Helping them has always been something that gives me joy. I also believe that learning never ends. Even after school, I want to continue growing, discovering, and sharing knowledge. I believe that every day is a chance to learn something new.

Looking forward, I have many dreams in my life. My biggest dream is to become a psychologist someday who can make a difference in people’s lives. I want to listen, understand, and guide those who feel lost or abandoned. Another dream of mine is to write books. I want to write stories that teach lessons about life and feelings books that can speak to both children and adults. I also dream of traveling the world, meeting people from different cultures, and learning from their ways of living. I believe that traveling is another kind of education, one that teaches lessons you cannot find in a classroom.
Now that I am here in Hive, I feel both excited and humbled. Excited because I get to share my own voice and create my stories, and humbled because I know I am among many talented people. But I do believe that in Hive, every voice has a place, no matter how big or small. I am thankful for this chance to begin my journey here.
So, thank you for reading my introduction. I am Hyacint Veraque a student, a dreamer, a writer, and someone who wants to keep learning and sharing. I look forward to making friends here to learning from your stories, and to giving back through my own. Let us continue to grow together, support each other and to make Hive a happy home for everyone. ♡
