I saw this cafe when I visited Mad Cups Cafe. This cafe is located beside the building where Mad Cups Cafe is along Pico Road, La Trinidad, Benguet about 5 kms from Baguio City.
I like how the place is accentuated with wood and even the furnitires and fixtures were mostly wood. It sets a warm and homey atmosphere, a great contrast from how the building looks. The building is old and badly needs major work so entering this cafe is like entering another world.
The place is neat and clean which is a big plus.
There is ingenuity in their other decorations using wires, used bottles, rims, etc. It seems the owner is a whiske lover.
They also have a merchandise section where they sell bags and personalized mugs.
Seating is comfortable with indoor and outdoor seats available. I like sitting by the window watching the road as people and cars pass by with a little view of the mountains.
Their menu is a one-page list of pasta, fries, chicken, nachos, sandwiches, hot and cold beverages.
I chose red pesto and kiwi cooler. I wanted coffee but I just came from my walk so I meed something to cool me down.
I did not have to wait long and my drink was served first.
It was refreshingly cool and just the right amount of sweetness. The lemon added that zestiness. It was not as kiwi tasting but it was a good mix.
Not more than 5 minutes and my pasta was served. Service is quick.
Red Pesto looks and tastes like spaghetti with pesto. The pasta was cooked well which I like and plenty of bits of onions and tomatoes. It was overall good one. The seasoning is just right. I could taste a little saltiness which is good because it does not overpower the other ingredients.
For now, I give this 5 for ambiance; location and accessibility 3.5; overall rating for food 4; price 4.5.
Aid Station Cafe is located at the 2nd floor beside Beatriz Emporium km. 5 Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet beside UPCB. Aid Station has wifi although limited parking. From Baguio City, take jeepneys going to Pico and ask the driver to drop you off UPCB.
